This restaurant is situated in mall road ,Nainital at the end of Naini lake. This is a perfect place to eat north Indian food here. Service is prompt and waiters are very helpful. Food is superb. When asked for a good restaurant many people took machans name and we were not disappointed at all.
Date of visit: July 2nd, 2023. It was morning, raining and a mood to enjoy something like Pancakes so I crashed into Machan and ordered it with some coolers. I ordered, Pancakes with Banana and 2 Coolers. I must say that I had the worst Pancakes till date. If you order Pancakes with Banana, you'll expect good fluffy Pancakes with Banana sliced on it along with Maple Syrup but nothing like this happened with me. They stuffed Banana into it and cooked. Are you serious? Have you ever tasted Pancakes in life? I confronted the person who served it, he said, "this is how we serve here". Highly disappointed. I would highly recommend Machan either change its quality or remove it from your menu. please don't insult Pancakes by serving banana stuffed sweet Parantha. We have almost the same experience with the coolers. Not at all a pleasing experience.... Not even satisfactory. On complaint, the Manager showed courtesy for not charging me for the Pancakes and thankful for the same however he could not do anything for my trauma that I got from those Pancakes.
Went here for wife's bday dinner. Tried veg north indian food. Food is really good. Very quick service that too on a busy sunday night at mall road. Really enjoyed the overall hospitality they showed. Recommend everyone to try out this lovely place.
One of the best restaurants I visited this weekend on my birthday while on a trip to Nainital. We went there for lunch and enjoyed every single dish. I am not a Momo's fan, but my friends ordered and we had, and I must tell you it was the tastiest momos.We also had tandoori chicken and hot and sour soup. In the main course, we had mixed non-veg fried rice, chicken noodles with chili chicken gravy. The virgin mojito was OK (the taste can be improved). Few items were over priced but the quantity justified it. The view from the window was breathtaking. Interior & Aesthetic-3/5 Quality & Quantity- 4.5/5 Food Taste- 4.5/5 except virgin mojito Overall, it was a busy restaurant with a few tables. (Cozy space). Loved eating there.
This is one of the restaurants recommended by almost every food blogger, and so I went to try it. I just had Dal makhni and Butter roti. The taste was as good as any decent restaurant. Overall, it's worth trying.
Very bad experience this time. We visited 10yeara back and this was the best restaurant of nainital. I recommended to so many people. This time they served stale food to us two times. We returned it immediately and Dey did not say even a word..beacuse they knew it was stale. Very low quality now. I wish they could remain on their levels. I miss old machan
The restaurant is small and cozy and right next to the lake which has many seating places with a view of the lake. We had ordered Steamed Veg momos, Lemon Coriander soup and Veg Wonton soup. It was very delicious and one of the best food I have ever had. I highly recommend this place. The restaurant also has a toilet which is well maintained.
