Machaan Plantation Resort - Resort hotel in Sakleshpur - Hassan, India

luxury is next level , a perfect place for weekend escapes , the view of the nature was awesome the food rating can be given as 3.5 to 4 out of 5 , and the timings of night dinner should be increased till 11 or 11:30

We booked the resort after reading many positive reviews on Google and make my trip. The overall experience was quite average. Multiple things that caused inconvenience especially when we were travelling with an infant. 1. The room+ amenities mentioned on the MakeMyTrip app were not provided to us. We reached late hence we assume we provided a sun standard room which was left although we had confirmed them over the call about our arrival. 2. We were provided a room on the ground floor with cemented floor whereas the description said wooden floor. We witnessed frog at night which put the hygiene on question. 3. Many other things including no mineral water bottles, no slippers, mini fridge was missing, no Locker where as, when we asked them to change the room second day, the other room had. For a price of 9.5k the facilities were surely not at par. I wud have got an accommodation elsewhere paying less than half a price for such facilities. I am highly disappointed with @makemytrip- where false descriptions were mentioned and also the resort management where the manager was not available for 2 long days despite multiple requests. Moreover when we got to speak with him on call at the time of checkout he was very unprofessional and impolite in listening to our issues rather started yelling at us for no reason. It's definitely not a luxury experience.

Machan is about 30kms from Sakleshpura and the drive to the resort kindles your curiosity as we go through some serene places. Once we enter the resort, the check in process is a breeze and the staff is courteous. The walk up to the room blows your mind away as the backdrop is a huge mountain range and then the resort has a green landscape which blends well. Room is huge and extremely clean. The bathroom is extra clean and extra large with all amenities. Restaurant - They cook pretty much everything you need and kudos to the chef as everything we ordered was delicious. Service is another highlight as they are always checking upon you to ensure you have everything you need. Bon fire is a cool affair but they can make it a bit lively with some music or some other form of entertainment. Next day, Sagar took us on a Trek of lifetime, Pandavara Betta trek. We started at 7 AM and first reached the foothill. Then a short climb up we reached a small but photo friendly temple. from there the climb to the hill starts and this can be a bit tricky & we really appreciated the effort of Sagar who guided us in every step and ensured our safety and also clicked some memories. The view from the top is breathtaking and we never wanted to come down. Once we reached the resort delicious breakfast was waiting for us. Then we went up to the activity room above the restaurant. Billiards, Carrom, Table Tennis and all board games are present and we had amazing time there. Swimming is pool is good and has infinity pool like structure. Deb (dev) took us on a plantation tour in the evening and explained the whole process with lot of patience and I was amazed by his knowledge of plants and the over all ecosystem. Thank you Machan and Staff for one of the most memorable time.

The place is scenic and serene...there's a peace here in the midst of nature.Lots of birds....wild flowers and crickets chirping away The restaurant needs special mention Food was varied and tasty. We stayed for a week..breakfast menu was never repeated.The boys in the restaurant were pleasant and eager to serve...Same goes for the staff at the reception and the room boys...

MachaanGreat placeWonderful experience with a blissful location and beautiful ambience especially for people who love to stay in midst of nature. Superb tasty food and fantastic place to visit with family and friends. Nice staff and crowd. Paisa vasool for every penny spent. I'm totally delighted and impressed.

Lovely resort for a relaxed time. This is located away from the hustle bustle of the city or any market area. Access can be challenging if you are driving in sedans as the road for about 2-3 kms is bad.

Hugely overpriced. Food preparation is sub par. The ingredients are good, but the cook is under trained especially for Non-veg food items. Decent breakfast.

I stayed on 17th nov .paid around 9k. Location is good. Food was ok . But it is not works more than 5k with breakfast only . They charge money like 5star restaurants. 1 glass milk -100rs ,1 coffee -125rs,1 cup curd -100rs . This is totally unfair . At 10:15am thy turned off AC and internet though check out time was 11. Poor ! Can visit the place once if the rooms are available for 5k otherwise you will get better resorts around sakleshpur ..
