It's beautiful and a quaint place to see the various craft and craft traditions of north-east India. They have a good assorted collection of baskets, fabrics, books, furnishing, preserves and souvenirs. The items are priced reasonably for the effort put in for making the intricate work. They kept the store open past 7PM for me to shop. I would have liked that the staff knew a little bit more about the craft practices and people to enrich and make the experience educational. Kudos to the teams for building a much needed space.
The main thing I liked is the store shifted underground... Feels amazing isn't? And many important books of mainly northeastern states are present... Those who are in the stream Arts must visit once...
They had a very small collection. And the things were overpriced (at least compared to Pragjyotika Assam Emporium). If it's a very well curated collection, a price difference can still be justified but that was not the case. The only pro was that they also had some collection of handicrafts from other north east states too.
They have a lot of handicrafts and traditional art collection. Must visit if looking to buy souvenirs.
Bought a wooden tray and bowl. Although they didn't have lots of choices, whatever they had was good quality.
The prices are very reasonable. The quality are also good here. The corporate solutions are perfect here.
A gem in Guwahati! Showcasing the authentic indigenous crafts of the North East. Each piece has a story to tell- and the staff tells it so nicely- while taking excellent care of you. They also make jams, preserves and spices native to the region. A must-visit on your trip to Guwahati!
