It's a peaceful holy temple of goddess Raksha Kali. The uniqueness of this temple is, it doesn't have any idol. Only once in a year in a special month the idol is made secretly, then brought to this temple adorned beautifully and worshipped as well as immersed in holy Ganges before dawn. People are forbidden to take the idol's photo and save it in phone or keep in houses. Hence its pictures are not sold on the market. People from far distant places come on this day to worship the goddess and take her blessings and to make their wishes fulfilled. There a huge fair held on this day around the temple which lasts for 18 days. The prices of local shops are little much high than other temples.

A Holy Hindu temple of Goddess Kali. This place is a must visit for Kali worshippers. During April-May, a big festival is held here. Lots of devotees from far and distant place stand in long queues during evenings to offer their prayers receive blessings from the Goddess. The priests in the temple and very diligent and nice. Another thing to note here is the fact that there is no idol here; only during the festival time, there is a temporary idol set-up for the thousands of devotees who visit here. It is said that "Maa Kali" here is very "jagrata". You should see the craze of the people who come here to offer their devotions. Overall an excellent place with excellent amenities, nice charming atmosphere. Must visit if you're in Konnagar.
