Blissful!!! The administration management of crowd effectively to avoid heavy rush at temple. Due to long weekend and Sunday after there was a huge number of people visiting temple. Administration managed the traffic as well as crowd very effectively. Appreciate that !!!
The stairs climb is partially affected by landslides and dangerous. Entry barefoot only. Foreigners must leave donation or otherwise are declined to enter
Awesome weather and temp. Jai maa Naina devi.
Naina Devi temple is located near Riwalsar Lake. It is 11km from the Lake on the hill top. You'll find Kunti Kund enroute which is believed to be constructed by Arjuna of Mahabharat for his Mother using his devine power of Bow and Arrow during the period of exile.
The climb up the mountain has many sharp turns. Do have an experienced driver. Also if visiting with senior citizens, do take a walking stick for them, which is available with shops near parking. The climb on foot has many stairs. It's right on top of the mountain with just the skies above. Very peaceful and divine place.
This temple is located at an altitude of approx. 1177 meters in dist. Bilaspur of Himachal Pradesh. The temple is situated at the top of a hill. It is one of the 51 Shaktpeets where eyes of sati fell .We reached there by car but after some certain point there were one hundred concrete steps & we climbed the stairs to reach bhavan. There is also a cable car facility that moves pilgrims from the base of the hill all the way to the top. As we reached there during shravan purnima so there were huge crowed of pilgrims & devotees. From the hills of Naina Devi we found the nice view of the Govind sagar Lake. After darshan of Mata Naina Devi we started for Bhakra - Nangal Dam. The sightseeing all along the road was very beautiful.
I recently had the privilege of visiting the Naina Devi Temple, and it was an incredibly spiritual and awe-inspiring experience. Situated atop a hill in the charming town of Nainital, this temple offers not only a deep sense of devotion but also breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The temple's architecture is striking, and it stands as a testament to the faith and devotion of countless pilgrims who have visited over the years. The idol of Goddess Naina Devi exudes an aura of serenity, and the atmosphere inside the temple is filled with a sense of peace and reverence.
I had no plans of visiting this place but couldn't stay put as I was staying just 1 km away. Though it was a long day, I still thought who knows when will I ever be back here. So despite having a ride I thought I will walk my way there. I was skeptical about the parking but don't worry there's a lot of space to park atleast 50 vehicles near mandir. You're adventurous like me just take the route where there's an arch made or you can take normal road which takes you on a longer course. The mandir is at a serene place and where the road ends. There is also a Dharamshala where you can stay the night with certain limitations and time constraints. There is also a langar which serves food until 3:30 pm. The mandir itself is not very old building, with pretty new construction unlike temples in himachal. It was a good visit with a beautiful sunset to remember.
