There is a hill back u can go trekking too. Not safe during flood times so do check before u go during flood in mahanadi or else its a year long beauty that hold you for that moment .
The temple is situated on river bank of Mahanadi.Maa Bhattarika worshipped as a manifestation of Shakti. On the top of the hill there is Hanuman temple and goddess in gumpha(small cave). The top view is catchy. Don't visit during rainy season as the temple submurged.
Maa Bhattarika temple is a very very well known and most famous temple in that area... The place is very very amazing and the scenery is very beautiful here... You can get a positive vibe here... So many people visit here daily... This is more famous because the Mahanadi River is near this temple and when flood comes here the entire temple drowned into the river... Many shops are opened near this temple you can get any type of tasty food here and also a park is situated near the temple and you can chill there with your friends and you can feast here also.... A very nice and must visit place...

I have visited this place many times. It is one of the most visited temples in Cuttack district. Usually this place is being opened all over the year except monsoon. In monsoon, the whole temple is drowned in the flood water of the river Mahanadi. Hence visiting is prohibited during this time. You can visit this place with your family members as well as friends. The hill behind the temple, called Bhattarika view point, has a natural scenery of Mahanadi. You can photoshoot there. Overall a good place to visit.

Temple location is a superb place. Previously i said the suggestion. If it will work then more tourists will come. Another thing there was boating. Maybe you will pay the pilot & spend time in the river.
