How pathetic an airport can be, one can see at Ludhiana airport. Absolutely the worst airport I've ever seen. What a big embarrassment it is on the face of Punjab government. Moreover, please don't expect any good taxi system to Ludhiana. Even a 10km costs 1000 rupees. Getting an ola uber is a nightmare. I booked prime ola and the driver asked me to share with someone else at this time of covid! And then he said that he would cancel it otherwise. Taxi mafia, broken infrastructure, no connectivity is what defines this Ludhiana airport. Shame on the Punjab government.

Worst experience ever first of all No parking here if u are coming airport Obesly taking ur car they have parking but only for police not for public nd they argue that take ur vehicle same day back not nyt stay no punctuation here my flight time was 11:30am nd they rescheduled 8:30 am

Don't book your flight for this airport, they always delay and cancel flights for no good reasons.

Ludhiana Airport,(IATA: LUH, ICAO: VILD) is a public airport serving Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Air India is the only airline that operates scheduled flights to and from Ludhiana to Delhi. Another airport in vicinity is Chandigarh 90 Km far from Ludhiana.

Intresting thing is You have to cross railway track before entering main gate of Airport, After entering the airport you will see car and bike parking on your left hand side and you will see departure and arrival hall on your right hand side. It has Simple Departure and Arrival Hall, Apron(aircraft stand) is near about 80 Meter walkable distance from arrival and departure hall for boarding passenger. The construction of runway is simple it has 1400 Meter Long and 30 Meter wide Runway With Only one taxiway at 30Side for ATR aircrafts. Also Runway Lighting with Simple approach available for night landings 12Side.

This airport has no regular flights. Only charter planes come here. No planes are parked here for serving people. Runway length is big enough to cater ATR 42/72 planes only.

This airport is govt managed/operated. Thus it isn't open for flight bookings to general public. Moreover the airport was in shambles and a clear indication of severe lack of upkeep and maintenance. To reach any city near here (if arriving from outside Punjab) you'd have to arrive either at Chandigarh or Amritsar and then go by road the rest of the way. And without having a personal connection with any native, it'll be hard to find a taxi that agrees to a fair rate. Just a heads-up on what to expect.

Small Airport Terminal at Ludhiana. Short stay at airport terminal only but made too good arrangement for sitting comfortably. Continuous served different items for eating to all three crew members.
