This place is amazing...Bhopal is also known as city of lakes,I was in Bhopal for an exam.After exam we decided to explore places nearby and went to this beautiful lake called "- Lower Lake" .We were lucky as it was raining. We enjoyed the weather and breeze of lake. You can find people clicking pics,selfie and clicking pics of scenic view. You can find many fast food stalls and restaurants around the lake. Amazing experience ,Must visit if you are in Bhopal.
Best place to see sunrise and sunset as well. Peaceful place,and one can spend many hours alone also. Boating is also there near the temple. Some water body competitions also held there,and competitors participate from the whole nation, from every state of india. There is lots of fun watching them. And so many parks near the lake,makes the place cozy,and peaceful.
Also known as Chhota Talaab, the lake was constructed in 1794, under the commission of Chote Khan, a minister of Nawab Hayat Muhammad Khan Bahadur. Though pollution is gradually depleting the water of Lower Lake, measures are being taken by city officials to keep it clean and healthy. The lake is enclosed by human settlements from all sides and can be easily accessed from any part of the city.
One of the best places I've visited so far.....but the stench of fish...but its only natural so no comment on Dat.
