Steps way (narrow) is there and you can find good views on the way along with houses on the hill. 18 statues of goddess's representing the shakti peetas are available. Along with the big idol at the top, you can find even other sculptures of Brahma, Vishnu, Maheswara and other Goddesses.
A beautiful gigantic shivling with a huge Nandi at top hill of Vijaywada ....overseeing and protecting g Vijaywada from evil eyes this is so beautiful that you forget everything ...Unlike temples in south where they deman money to see god here there is no money ....The lady out here is 72 year old ...do your bit of contribution ....There is a shaktee peeth hidden from shivling while you come down just see to your left and you will be blessed to see the cosmic gathering of devis with shiva

No access for two wheeler and four wheeler. Still construction work is going on. Navagraha's , Nandi, attractive lingam and various idols of gods. Quite impressed you view of the city. No access for wheelchair, A lot of steps has to be climb to reach the temple.The route will be in the streets of very narrow houses , I recommend people having some energy to climb the steps to reach the top of the hill. New designs are very attractive for the Pilgrims. It's better to carry a water bottle while you are climbing the steps. I do not recommend the Old-age people to reach this temple. The place is very quiet, people can feel good atmosphere around the temple. Its better to visit this temple in day only. You can find horses, ducks, and birds . You will enjoy the photography here.
This temple has been constructed on a hill top with a 36 ft tall magnificent statue of shiva lingam which can be witnessed from whole of Vijayawada , a must visit place in heart of Vijayawada.
The climb was extremely tough, but the satisfying view of the city and Krishna river from the top with the serenity of the Shivalinga...awesome!!
It was bit scary while landing but view and shiva temple is worth it of all. Overall it was good experience.
