One of the larger falls of Jharkhand. Definitely worth a visit. The entry ticket is 10 and the parking is 20. The number of steps to the falls from the parking is approximately 150+ . But the steps are very easy to climb. There are several side tracks to get down the main path and reach the bottom of the falls. You can visit it on the way to netarhat. Before entering you have to enter your name in a registry. Lots of places or benches to sit and rest along the path. Even elderly people who can walk will be able to reach it without any problem.

Truly the best waterfall of jharkhand, the atmosphere here is truly mesmerizing. It's a no plastic zone and it is maintained properly. Visiting early in the morning or on a cloudy day makes it more charming. Carring food is a good choice as there are not too many options for that available.

Lodha Falls, nestled in the scenic landscapes of Jharkhand, is nothing short of a natural wonder that beckons visitors with its enchanting beauty and tranquility. This cascading waterfall, situated in the Latehar district, is like a hidden treasure for those who cherish the wonders of the natural world and are drawn to adventure in pristine surroundings. The first thing that strikes you about Lodha Falls is its impressive height and the pristine environment that envelopes it. Originating from the Lodha River, a tributary of the Koel River, the waterfall descends from a considerable elevation, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. It gracefully tumbles in multiple tiers, forming a series of smaller cascades before merging into a large pool at its base. The lush greenery that surrounds the waterfall only adds to its allure. Dense forests act as a natural backdrop to this magnificent waterfall, offering a sanctuary for a diverse range of flora and fauna. For birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts, this pristine environment presents an opportunity to spot various avian species and indigenous animals. To reach Lodha Falls, one must embark on a picturesque journey through the forest, which adds an element of adventure to the experience. The path leading to the falls meanders through the lush landscape, offering opportunities for trekking and exploration. The journey is accentuated by the soothing sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves, providing a sensory experience that's a feast for the soul. For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life, Lodha Falls is the perfect sanctuary. It's an ideal spot for a picnic, a day-long outing with family and friends, or even a solo retreat. The cool mist that emanates from the waterfall offers a respite from the heat, especially during the scorching summer months. In summary, Lodha Falls in Jharkhand is a pristine gift from nature, providing a serene escape to the heart of the wilderness. With its towering waterfalls, verdant surroundings, and abundant wildlife, it's a destination that guarantees an unforgettable experience for all who make the journey. Visitors have marveled at the atmosphere here, and the strict "no plastic" policy is commendable. To maximize your experience, consider visiting early in the morning or on cloudy days when the enchantment of the falls is heightened. Bringing your food along is a wise choice as there aren't many options for dining available in the vicinity. Lodha Falls is undoubtedly one of the standout attractions in the vicinity of Ranchi. Its majestic views are simply breathtaking. To reach the base of the falls, visitors will ascend a series of about 60-70 steps, which only adds to the adventure. From there, a gentle climb over a few rocks takes you to the waterfall itself, allowing you to bask in the awe-inspiring scenery and even take a refreshing bath beneath the falls. This is, indeed, the highest waterfall in Jharkhand, set against the backdrop of lush, green forested areas. It's also known as Budha Ghagh Waterfall, and the name only adds to its charm. For those planning a visit, please note there's an entry fee of 10/- per person and 50/- for cars. The route may be a bit off-road, but it's entirely navigable. Lodha Falls is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a serene yet adventurous escape into nature.
