Lodge Lipika - Lodge in Bolpur - Birbhum, India

Overall the lodge is fine. Very near to Bolpur Santiniketan Rail Station. But for various problems like food, transportation, locality tourists avoid this place. Tourists finding no other option come here. The manager of the Lodge is very good, prompt and polite. I stayed there for two days. The lodge is clean, calm & quite. Tourists who like these may stay here.

My experience at Lipika Lodge was disappointing. The receptionist's behavior was notably poor, contributing to an unpleasant stay. The high prices further added to the dissatisfaction. The only redeeming factor is its proximity, just 2 minutes away from Bolpur Shantiniketan Station. Overall, I would not recommend this lodge due to the subpar service and pricing issues.

**Super worst experience** Please avoid this hotel at any cost!! 1) When I checked in with my family, observed that the room is not properly cleaned. For example - found 'biri butt', dirt in the room corner, so not safe at all if you travel with your child. 2) Worst service : they won't come to clean your room on any day, unless you ask them. After asking them, one person would come & would complain to you why you dropped water on the floor, how will I clean it now etc. The person won't understand that there is a child in the room. 3) They won't clean your bed, washroom on a daily basis, it's only one day when you checked in. 4) The toilet was worst, could find human waste during checking in. 5) The pillow had human sperm type smell, had lots of dirts inside. 6) During check-out, they won't allow you to exit, unless they check the room by visiting personally to check if things are ok in the room. 7) During check-out, if you leave a little late, they would come & knock you to know when you are going to leave. 8) They would close the hotel by 9 PM, they won't care to call you to know if you are still outside. On our first day, we were shocked after coming back to hotel, as we saw entire hotel is closed. We had to find out ways to call them, as we didn't carry mobile. 9) The hotel manager & the hotel stuff both of them are very rude folks, the behavior is worst, trust me, you will feel like why have you even visited Shantiniketan. 10) Today Shantiniketan is not a place of Shanti anymore because of such hotel folks. 11) I whole heartedly wish that the Lodge Lipika gets closed due to such inhuman services, if not, then change the hotel manager/stuff. I would kindly request to the hotel owner to immediately fire both the hotel manager & hotel stuff.

We stayed here in 2017. The hotel is at the vicinity of the Platform No. 2 of Bolpur-Shantiniketan Railway Station. Rooms were clean & spacious. Staffs were really very helpful & were always at the guests service. One can easily have a stay here safely.

Very close (2 min walk) to Bolpur Railway station Platform number 2. But it is in residential area, so you will feel like home. Easily booked through Goibibo. I checked in at 2Am but Manager was kind enough to open the doors so late.

May be good for very low cost accomodation. Only for those who are looking forward to saving money alone! No comfort, no positivity, no cleanliness.. It's located in a dirty looking narrow lane near to Rly Stn. Doesn't look even safe for Solo Female Travellers. There are some people who looks for positive places to stay. Not luxury, but positive. This is not for such kind of travellers, who would like to stay in a pleasant place, with sufficient light and air... But only for those who are on a strict budget. This is for them.. Because its just few steps from Bolpur Railway Station, rear side, i guess..

booked an A.C Deluxe room for 5 th of October at 5 p.m just after conformed booking i called the hotel management that we shall reach by 10 p.m . after reaching the property on specific time there were no one to attend and hotel shutter was down. we knocked nd ring the calling bail till 1 a.m but no one opend the door . all the neighbours and other shope keepers they join with us but finally we failed and at the night of 1 a.m there were no other hotel available. we had to spent the night at platform.

for the amount we paid this is worth it, room were clean ,have enough size for two members accomodation,bathrooms were also clean & the main staffs were very courteous, they have helped us to arrange a toto fir entire day trip in a reasonable price .for 1_2 day trip it is good to stay & the main pros is it's very very nearby to station so it will help you for all the commute.
