LOCOFEAST - Theme Restaurant - Modern Indian restaurant in Chennai - Chennai, India

Once so famous place now looks dilapidated carrying less customers. We went as a family on a weekday for dinner and the place looked sparsely occupied. Given the low lighting, it looked even more gloomy. As you might be aware, Food is served in a car/train setup and you will be surprised by the delivery speed. Most of the dishes came to our table in 5-10 minutes. There are few employees there to take your orders and for any other needs you might have (like cutlery, tissues, ketchup,etc.,). Coming to the taste, most of the dishes were oily and tasted neither bad nor too good, they were borderline good is all I can say. Pricing is decent and with offers running up to 25% discount, I found it value for money. You can try once with kids but don't expect to come out overwhelmed. If they can work on bringing back this restaurant to life by upgrading interiors, people might enjoy.

Restaurant definitely needs more cleaning, shine, restructuring of ceiling and a lot more. Nobody paid attention to walk in guests, staff were confused, lack of interest to welcome guests. I went up to the incharge person to ask for a table after waiting for a while as they were occupied or atleast looked like it. There were a bunch of staff, they were sufficiently staffed but nobody cared to offer a table. Food was served thru the conveyor belt.I've had a much better experience with the automated serving in another Indian City, it's an okay option for family with kids/toddlers who could enjoy the experience. Ordered the Chicken lollipop was not bad, Cheese poppers was a nugget of mozzarella with 2-3 sweetcorn pieces-kids may enjoy. Butter and garlic naan was thin but very chewy, hard to chew. Paneer tikka masala was good, recommend to try this during your visit. Overall, there are so many really good restaurants in Chennai- if you're in the area and need to grab a quick bite-then you could try once.

Great place to spend with your family. Weekends are usually crowded and it's difficult to get a table so it's better to make reservations prior. Food is good, they've a lot of options to choose from. Their saucy chicken lollipop is one of my favourites.

You too can have your meal served via racing car at @locofeast, a quirky train and racing car themed restaurant. The food was great too, my karuveppilai kohzi pirattal was tender and packed full of herbs and curry leaves. Delicious. As was the chicken Tikka masala. The portions were a good size too.

Awesome restaurant with a very different idea of serving the dishes using sports simulated car. The car is used as the base to serve the food to the respective table. We ordered several dishes and all of them were really good. We ordered mutton egg roast, masala omelette, corn cheese poppers, phulka, Chettinad veg gravy. The service was fantastic and the food was delivered quickly. So we would highly recommend to try this place for its uniqueness.

Those who don't get it from the name or the theme at the first glance, this is a unique locomotive themed restaurant. Yes, everything you order arrives to your seats in a large plate like automated wagon which has its own path next to the table arrangement. The tables are named after the places in Chennai. There are Bullet Train models, F1 car models, photos, graphics and trivia on many locomotives all done as murals. The menu card has everything sorted and it was quick to choose. While the assortment of choices for the main course is elaborate, there is a slight disappointment that there really wasn't any variety to the desserts. I hardly found 10 items there. The digital menu you get upon the QR scan especially, is a smaller one. While the amount of planning behind the ambience here is so evident, this place could use some more efforts in giving their food some face lift, because anything I tried was just above average in terms of taste. I found the price to be high. As if having to pay 260+ for a Paneer Tikka Briyani wasn't bad enough, we found it to be pathetic, barely any vegetable pieces even there, and the Paneer was one huge piece like it was cut half from a Rs.80 whole cube and served without cooking. Still, for the ambience, you may go here on a team lunch or with family. Your kids might enjoy. Weekdays are not at all crowded.

The restaurant has an exciting F1 racing theme, with adequate lighting. However, it can feel a bit crowded at times. The quantity and taste of the dishes are enjoyable, and the best part is the fast service system. You can conveniently order food using the QR system, and the delivery train ensures prompt and timely service. It's advisable to make reservations in advance due to the restaurant's popularity and crowd. Additionally, they offer valet parking for your convenience.

Good themed restaurant people who are crazy' about cars & trains they'll love this place. They serve every dish by train that will attract everyone! The food is good there ! but the quantity is so less compared to the amount Cozy restaurant with good ambience. Once they can improve quantity it will be so good.
