Live Free Hostel Varanasi - Backpacker Hostel in Varanasi - Varanasi, India

My recent stay at this hostel was overshadowed by the shockingly unprofessional conduct of the staff. Their dressing, talking, and overall attitude were far from what one would expect from individuals in the service industry. The staff's attire was not only unkempt but also inappropriate, which gave the impression that they had little regard for their professional appearance. Their speech and communication were equally concerning, often lacking in the courtesy and respect one would expect from those in the hospitality business Worst of all was their overall attitude and behavior. They seemed disinterested in assisting guests, and their rudeness and indifference were disheartening. It was as if they had no training in customer service or simply didn't care about guest satisfaction. My experience with the staff left me deeply disappointed and questioning the hostel's commitment to providing a pleasant stay. I would strongly caution against choosing this establishment if you value professional and respectful service.

We stayed in a private room, which was not worth the money: No window, urine smell, weird bathroom. The common areas downstairs could be made up a bit nicer, the restaurant does not look very inviting. The staff didn't bother giving us any info about common activities (if there are any?) or the Hostel/the town. However, they were very kind with helping us get to the airport in time, which adds 1 star.

Rooms are good but it gets very humid inside. Other than that, this place has improved exceptionally in last one year. Amazing service. And seriously, best food in town. Very much recommended. When you go there, don't miss to order Mushroom Sandwich.

I had a good experience here. One thing I noticed was that the first floor was a bit dirty compared to the other floors. Water dispensers are there at the ground floor and second floor. There's a common area if you want to eat food ordered from outside.There's a cafe too and it had some tasty food. Assi ghat is just 3 mins walk from here and the best thing is this hostel is on the road and not in some narrow streets. Easy to navigate and just near the ghats.

Dorms beds ladders can be more comfortable. It's an issue everywhere. Service is top class & location on Google is slightly behind from actual place. It's a recommendation for Banaras!!

The only 2 issues of this property are: 1. No elevator. You may get a room till the 4th floor. You'll have to climb all the way, even for water. 2. WiFi - even though they have Wifi, the speed can be a problem at times, especially in the rooms. WFH from here may be difficult. Apart from these 2 issues, it is a wonderful property!! Loved the common room where you have carroms, chess, Jenga, etc, and can screen cricket matches. Also loved the fact that they have some or the event going on every evening like community dinner, live music, karoke, etc. Not to forget - this is in walkable distance from Assi Ghat. Overall, an excellent option for backpackers. If you're solo, it is going to be a piece of cake to get some good company here!

Nice And Clean Rooms. The environment is very eco-friendly. Pleasent Stay. just One thing is that this hotel is on the inner side. Transportation is a little bit difficult. Ganga Arti is very near walking distance.

The place is decent with a great vibe. The front desk and the staff are friendly, warm and polite. The food tastes great with lot of options to choose. The rooms are clean and are in proper working condition. The ambience is lively and calm. The waiting room and common washroom are maintained well.
