Lingambudhi Lake - Lake in Mysuru - Mysuru, India

Beautiful serene lake. Proper walking path is there for joggers and those who want to take a walk around. There are 2 entrances one from ramakrishna nagar side and the other from Preeti layout side..also the mandapam from Preeti layout side has excellent view of the lake.. One can get the best view of sunset from here.. Entry is free and parking is available.

Nice place for walking and still needs to improve a bit. It's quite far from the city centre. The area around this is quiet and calm. Parking may not be a problem around this area. Entry is free. It's a good place for bird watching in Mysuru city.

Good place for birding. Visit early in the morning or evening before sunset for better photos.

If you are planning to visit the lake with your family best time to visit would be evening so you can enjoy the sunset views on a clear day. Arrive at gate around 5pm , Kids can play in the play area, around 6pm Take a walk upto the lake's watchtower you can climb up or sit and relax on any Bench available. Enjoy the view of lake ecosystem. Visiting hours: 5:30am To 9:00am / 4:30pm to 7pm Try to exit before 7 as the park closes and it gets dark with mosquitoes,Snakes and other Creatures. initially you may get lost so makesure you are aware from where you entered. Please don't litter

It's known for its biodiversity, can spot painted storks, peacocks, some snakes, a large variety of trees and medicinal plants. The lake's water level is very low post February but if you visit mid year you might have some good sightings plus a great view of the lake.

To review in few word... "its just ok". The lake and walk through is peaceful and not crowded. To and fro will add upto 3km. Kukkarahalli walk path is far more better than lingabudhi as of now. The park is divided into two separate stretches of walk through.... which are not connected into a close ring. There is lush greenery but its not maintained. You can find trash and likar bottles at places. At one place of entrance, a park is set up with seatings and kids play along with toilet and drinking water facility ( which usually is inoperable ). No parking fee. No entrance fee.
