Levitate @ Ramgarh Cottage - Hotel in Umagarh - Nainital, India

Place is beautiful but starts to haunt you after dark. It's ambiance is full of so called junk antique furniture. That furniture is a total trash. There's no fan available in the property as it gets pleasant in the evening even in hottest summers and they have big windows available to use yet you cannot open them as they have all sorts of crawling creatures outside the window. We ended up killing tarantula sized spiders running at super speed inside the room pretty much every night for 3 nights. Staff is friendly and hardworking. Don't recommend it to couples travelling alone. Extremely quite and deserted. Not even a Maggie point available till kilometres.

We have started returning to this property every summer now it not only gives us the relief from heat in NCR but also rejuvenates us from the city life ...i think such breaks are very crucial for a busy life it actually brings you closer to the nature and makes your mind and body stress free to move on life even better with charged body.

The location is good, but the terrain is not for everyone. The place is suitable for couples and group of friends, but not old people and kids under 12. As the stairs path is not suitable for them and no recreation for kids and even adults. It's for people who love to live in solitude. A max of 2 nights stay is appropriate. Carry portable fans with you as hilly resorts don't have ac or fan and a alternate fan is needed for sunny afternoon or for kids. All over a nice place.

Having spend a long time in lockdown, we were really looking forward to a break in the mountains, we came across levitate@ramgarh and booked it with some degree of apprehension as we had read a review which a fellow traveller had written. I'm happy to say that we had a wonderful time. We booked the cottage "Song of the cicadas" and it was so beautifully done( no problem with dust though we did get a spider but that's understandable given that it's right next to the Forest area)- we just loved it. To be able to live in that beautiful cottage which is located in such a sweet and green valley surrounded by nature was amazing. The staff was very helpful even when we had a problem getting there (we had a tyre puncture on the way and called the property to let them know and they were able to guide us for a mechanic) . We booked through the owner and she was also quite patient about telling us about the property and answering all our questions. We will definitely visit again in summer during the fruit season!

It's a great-great place to stay! Location is beautiful and greenary all around. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Anil ji, who is the caretaker of the property. We had 3 amazing evenings here, with amazing food by viru which obviously added up to the experience. Without a doubt the levitate is one of the favorites to revisit. The service, ambience, food and hospitality can't be found in 5 star hotels. A must visit place with your family, friends and furry babies. The cottage us amazingly decorated with great view, essential amenities, beautiful modular kitchen, good food and great host. We truly enjoyed our stay at EseenceatRamgarh( property name changed). I will definitely recommend if you are looking for natural beauty with amazing staycation in Uttarakhand and host will make sure that you have great time.
