Beautiful picturesque remote hill Village situated in Buxa Hill Forest , Buxa Tiger Reserve . Alipurduar District , West Bengal . Amazing views , natural beauty is awesome . Situated at the top of hill , some homestay available for tourists . Situated near Bhutan border .
Hiking lovers must visit this spot once. It is an amazing hike from either Santalabari / zero point if you take a car to this point, to Buxa fort where Netaji was jailed and then he escaped from here (huge history) , may also visit the museum still under construction. And from here you can hike to Lepchaka an awesome place to spend your weekend night.
You can see breathtaking Jayanti hills view form here. There are many nearby Home-stays here, where you can stay. Lepchakha is a small village occupied by Indian Bhutanese. They are very nice, polite and kind people. They will help you exploring the place. They are very friendly, if you want to learn about their life or history of the place they will love to share with you. You can get most of your daily essentials here. Just one thing you can't get mobile network properly here. But with the breathtaking views, surroundings and traditional Bhutanese food, it's worth to visit this place and stay way from your smartphone and work
It is the most beautiful place of New Alipurduar district, situated on the hill top. An glimpse of beautiful Bhutani culture and hospitality can be experienced here. One should stay one or two nights here. Different kinds of birds can be seen. Trekking route is somehow difficult but at the end of it when one finally reach the hilltop of Lepchakha he/ she will be mesmerized with the beauty. On one hill another village Achulam is situated and Bhutan is on the other side of the hill.
One of the most beautiful views point...
It's a great place. For anyone who wants to get away from the noise of the city for a few days this is it. It's maintained by the locals who are very friendly and helpful though things and services are quite expensive (for a student) because as you can imagine not many people there have a good job, mostly they make a living on tourism and tourists (so help them if you can by buying as much as you can afford, you can buy chocolates for the kids too, a really great thing). On the very top there are hotels where you can stay and if you are an adventure freak like me (LOL), you can ask the locals and get a tent and find a beautiful spot and BOOM! PARADISE!
Nice view point here... River and hill of far away from here is seeing clear.....
A very small trek from santlabari. 6 km maximum. 3km from buxa may be. Beautiful, calm place on a hill top. One can watch the forest of dooars and the rivers like Bala, jayanti, buxa jhora etc below. On the back , there is Bhutan just after the hill you see. Unexpectedly People here are quite professional now. Didn't like it. We stayed one night at pamse homestay, the oldest one in lepchakha. Next day at the homestay of Fugmen aunty, just on the edge at the east side. If one is fit enough he can explore the surrounding area by foot. A lot of different types of birds are available in that area. Interested people may reach towards rovers point for more varieties of birds.

Personification of the phrase that sometimes the journey is more beautiful than the destination! Raimatang is a small village in the lap of nature, where the local people offer homestays. Nothing else is there to be seen. But the whole journey is gre
This is a small water reservoir in between the forest of Buxa where you can reach after a small hike from the Jayanti. The quiet serene atmosphere of this place provides mental peace. Pokhri means pond in local language and in this pond big cat fishe
