LAXMI BAR & RESTAURANT - Seafood restaurant in Ponda - South Goa, India

A typical local goan bar and restaurant serving really tasty food and some cheap booze. This is located in Ponda. South goa. The seating is very basic which you will find in a bar and is always full with people. The squid Rachedo was too good along with prawns rawa fry and Chonak rawa fry.

Delicious chicken chilli served best served with Roti is their special dish. Also prawns pulao !! This is bar and restoraunt. We had gone here with our dance team for dinner. Really good preparation, humble staff and fast service. You won't believe this is also budget friendly ~ reasonable rates. Seasonal fish are also available. Veg options are also avaliable.

The food wasn't great, the waiter was rude. I had my 3 year daughter with me, told the waiter to get the order a little faster but he brought the food after 45 minutes. The people who came later than me were served before us. Also the fish curry had no salt and lacked any punch of goan curry that we are used to. I had ordered chonak, which was not marinated properly and tasted very bland. Will never recommend to any friends. The waiters especially are very rude.

Waste of money. The quality of food not at all good. N the price is too much. Ordered modso which was fresh, yet not marinated properly. No salt to fish. Even the curry was tasteless. Charged 370 for fish thali with rice curry, bangada sukha, brinjal bhaji and salad and fish fry. Not worth money. Request not to visit. Service is also very slow. They took 45 min to deliver fish thali

Food was very good, we had ordered sea food. Kingfish masala was very tasty and also spicy kingfish was very fresh. Even the modso fish was very fresh and was perfectly cooked and was nice soft and very tasty! Prawns rawa fry was ok okay. U can try urak (jungle drink) with yours friends , perfect drink for summers . you can choose AC and non AC sitting.Service was not so good, even the cutlery and glasses were dirty, we had to tell them to change our cutlery and glasses! Rest everything was good. Rates are also reasonable! Will visit soon again

The food here is Really good in taste i have tried most of the dishes here but and all were good You need to try their All fish fry, chicken Crispy, chicken salt and pepper and their all chiken and mutton gravy dishes Only thing its a bit costly

Visited this place last night with friends over a dinner. Laxmi Restaurant is very much known restaurant in ponda for its lip smacking Sea Food , Goan , Chinese and last but not the least it's Biryani. The place is located in ponda near Axis Bank , opp. Raj enclave. The only problem here is for parking as it's a high Street and you have to struggle for parking. The Ambience of the place is good they have 2 section AC & Non AC. Staff here is very good and co-operative. The service is prompt and quick. Coming to the food we tried here : Vellyo Fry - (4/5) Apple Chicken - (4/5) Pepper Chicken - (4/5) Squids Rava Fry - (3/5) Chonak Fry - (5/5) Mst Try Crab Sukha - (5/5) Mst Try Chicken liver Masala - (5/5) Mst Try Mushroom Chilly - (5/5) Paneer Masala - (4/5) Fries The food we tried was really good and tasty .If you're in and around ponda and wants to have some good lip smacking Sea food then this is the place. I would definitely recommend this place as its a value for money. Do visit .

Qty - Okay Food served cold (Especially after 15-20mins wait time) Lemon not served - the waiter was lost twice when he was trying to recollect that I ordered for lemon pieces. And yet not served. Quality - Below okay. 2/5, Prawns not fresh. Had asked if they were before ordering and they said - YES! After I informed that they don't taste fresh, they said "market mein esa hi milta hain!!!". Then don't say that they are fresh or say that whatever is available in market, it will be served. Not worth 300 at all.
