It's truely a gone place

The Northbrook Gate, was constructed to welcome British viceroy Lord Northbrook who visited Guwahati in 1874. The gate was built near Sukreswar Ghat where the viceroy anchored his ship.

This place is very good and friendly for the people of Hailakandi district because sixty percent of native business shops, restaurant and lodge are bengali speaking people from Hailakandi

No proper arrangement of a bus stand by the municipal authority, any new people coming here wont be even to recognize that there is a bus stop.
