Plenty of utility places like hair dresser , gift shop , vegetables shop , small super market , snacks shop , ice cream parlour, tailor , beauty parlour and much more . It's a very important place for Iitm faculty families .
Well maintained shopping area with all your requirements in one spot inside IITM campus, but costly place. The supermarket Ambika is an unethical and costly shop. They closed down and declined to support campus community during the floods (or any crisis thereafter). The Andavar fruit shop is costly but you get good quality fruits and vegetables there. Land to Kitchen is another veg shop there that sells organic products and products directly Tamil village farms nearby at fair price. Stationary shops in first floor, bakery and electronics shops are fairly good shops. You would be at the mercy of the person at the Ice cream shop.

Basic shopping experience, a good supermarket with all school stationery and food items. Fresh fruits and veggies available in adjoining shop, first floor has 2 bakery which serves yummy pastries and chat. Also there is a affordable decent beauty parlour and an impunctual tailoring shop
Yaa...it is basically for staff, built with in the apartments for the professors. It has gernal store, fruit and vegetables market. Different type of payment are accepted here like card cash, mobile payments. It opens at 8 am and close a 9.30 pm regularly....it has good maintenance near by place and entrance...a parking lot and structure for parking cars, cycle, bike and wheel chair...I think wheel chair access is also available...so overall good place to visit
