Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel - Featured Reviews (7827)
One of the worst experiences. 1. Quality of the hotel: the hotel used to be the King's palace but do not expect to be treated as a welcome guest. The hotel is old. The room has never been remodeled probably since it was built. The bathtub contains black spots. The toiletries are very low quality especially the conditioner which does not make hair smooth at all. 2. Mismanagement: A. when I stay, a film was being shot. The hotel is messed up with filming equipment and guests needed to accommodate the film crew. B. Maybe due to the filming, I was asked to park behind the building. Luckily I only had a small suitcase or I needed to drag luggages on gravel road without help. C. The hotel did not give me any communication prior to the check in. This creates a big problem because the road was closed and I could not check in for the first night. The hotel knows the road closure but they refused to give me refund. They compensate me with a free dinner but when I forgot my takeaway, and they threw it away. I ordered it, it became my belonging and they knew I was a guest. D. The staff hanged up phone calls without listening to you. They charge you 12,000 Rupees for shooting photos.
Stayed here for two nights. Such a great price for staying at a century old palace. It is totally worth spending a night or two here. The accommodation includes breakfast buffet and has a huge pool (make sure you can swim because it has a max depth of 10 feet) as well that is free to use. Amazing customer service. The food was ok and the spa they offer wasn't good. But I would stay here again happily
Wow wow wow, what a royal experience. We just loved the heritage and history of the place. Absolutely stunning palace and lot of photo opportunities. Service staff were very helpful. Dining hall is another eye candy. Just loved every moment of our stay there. Swimming pool was amazing as well. Must visit place.
I had gone just to visit, if anyone is not going for stay and just to visit, please don't go there. You can see only the ground floor and there is nothing there just waste of money. Rather to to Mysore palace and zoo that would be lot better than visiting here.
Not a bad place to stay if you'd like to experience living in a palace hotel. The rooms were good, with a view to their swimming pool, but they just smelled a bit damp. We had booked 2 rooms and an inconvenience we faced here was that both were next to a room where internal work was going on which created a lot of noise. Something we weren't really happy about as there were a lot of empty rooms that could have been given. Also, at the time of checkout, be sure to check all totals to pay as there were some accounts missing during ours (which we reminded them about). The food was delicious! All the way from the main course to the desserts, from breakfast to dinner. Just note there's not much to do here. A lot of discontinued activities during COVID-19 haven't been continued yet. The staff is also helpful and friendly! While talking with the staff, you'll get quite some cool information about the palace, its rooms, and how it's used nowadays.
There is a lot of hype over this place. The ambience of this palace is so well. You can get a lot of good photos. But you will not feel like you are staying in a palace, due to lack of hospitality General public is also allowed to visit the palace, so you wont have peace when you walk around the palace to take a look Room was good not great. Lacking some basic amenities. Service was nothing great. Just like any normal hotel. LUNCH BUFFET IS WAY TOO COSTLY FOR THE MENU. Not worth the bucks. You can just visit have lunch and get out.
Staying in this palace was like a dream come true. It is definitely majestic and beautiful! The staff was attentive and available. Our room was spacious and had a balcony with a view. However, you should consider that this is an old building that could have probably maintained a bit better. Also the waiting time in the hotel restaurant was long. Our experience was great anyway and wouldn't want to miss it being in Mysore!
The Palace is good and scenic. The entry fee for visitors is Rs 100 each, in which you have access to ground floor and get a complimentary coffee or a tea with biscuits. If in case you have something in their restaurant you get the concession for the entrance fee. Restaurant charge is nearly 800-1000 per person. Must visit only between 10 AM to 3 PM. Overall experience is good. This Palace can be maintained in a much better way, the toilets were filthy.
