I was admitted for 6 days in Feb 2023 and had a wonderful experience. Was in delux AC room, its maintained very well. Room was cleaned everyday thrice including toilet. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. They came to help within seconds when we rang the bell (both morning and night shift staff). Overall had an excellent experience here, loved the stay and got discharged fully recovered.

Had visited for ENT to R N Nayak. Doctor was good talked properly to diagnose but bad thing is he prescribed tablets more than required made us buy it from outside pharmacy (btw pharmacy has worst behaved staff. I went back to return excessive pills and staff refused bluntly and if asked for reason he was yelling). That doctor might get commission from pharmacy so made us get from there. So for cold you might go but my issue was vertigo and it's recommended to go to KMC if u live in Udupi.

The hospital lacks the basic facilities needed : * Very poor infrastructure * Nurses and daily help were not very helpful : They assisted the mother ONLY once while feeding/taking care of the baby, and the remaining times it had to be taken care of by the mother or caretaker (night/day), who would be operated on just a day before. * There is no canteen, not even for the patient or caregiver. * No parking. * No in-house medicine centre: Every medicine patient caretaker needs to get at least 500m every time to get it nearby medicals. * There is no hot water facility in the bathroom: we need to inform reception, and they will get it after 30-45 minutes. * Not accepting debit/credit cards for payments. * No tie up with insurance companies, so you cant opt for cashless facility. * It is not worth the money you pay for baby delivery in this hospital, Not a good experience for mother / baby / caretaker in this hospital. Do not get admitted for baby delivery in this hospital. You can visit only for consultation with Dr. Vijay Kumar Shetty, who is a good doctor and tries for a normal delivery and opts for cesarean only in critical situations.

Highly expensive with below average facility. They dont have parking, No pharmacy inside hospital we need to bring all medicines from outside, age old lift which can't bare more than 2 people. No lab facility inside hospital they send blood samples outside and have to wait for 3-4 days for the result. No canteen inside hospital third party guy comes to door delivery with no proper timings better get food from hotel. Attached bathroom doesn't have hot water facility they give hot water in a bucket on request. The only positive thing in this hospital is Dr Vijay Kumar Shetty who tries for a normal delivery and opt for cesarian only in critical situation.Thats why people rush to this hospital. They don't have major insurance cashless facility and they don't even accept credit card coz of gateway charges. It's an age old building which have not maintained well, for a C-section delivery they charge nearly Rs 80,000 and the kind of facility they give is really not worth it. Better opt for any other hospital who give better facility.

There are multiple doctor clinic inside Lalit hospital. This hospital is next to Alankar theatre udupi. There is a clinical laboratory available. Doctor clinics are closed on Sundays. Best hospital for pregnancy and delivery, had wonderful experience with Dr. Vijay Kumar Shetty K. Staffs in the labour theatre was extremely helpful and caring. Overall great experience with my first delivery.

Hospital is located in heart of the city and easily accessible. Staff and doctors are friendly and well experienced. Parking isn't available and that's an issue. Building is bit old but is well maintained. The housekeeping staff are really good and make sure hygiene is maintained. Nursing staff take good care of the patients.
