Lalitgiri is a better maintained monastery than both Ratnagiri and Udaygiri,but like Udaygiri you have to walk a lot,which can a good or a bad thing for you so plan accordingly

The entrance part of lalitagiri is a collection of small stupas along with a demolished chaitya hall(prayer hall).

Great place to know about our history .

It is one of the oldest Buddhist site. Lalitgiri was visited by Huien Tsang in 7th centuary AD. The large number of antiquities excavated testifies the place to be a part of Puspagiri Buddha Vihar.
