Rauza Lal Khan's tomb was built in 1773 by the first king of Banaras Maharaja Balwant Singh Ji. It is said that Lal Khan himself wished to buried here, so he could see his dream royal palace. Two other members of Lal Khan's family also buried here. The tomb is located in the centre of a rectangular walled persion style garden. The main tomb is constructed on a high square platform with lagre dome and four corner minarets with intricate carvings and motifs. Each of the four corners of the garden has an octagonal stone canopy. View is amazing and good for photography, better to visit in morning or evening time. The place is well maintained. Here, You can have a wonderful view of Malviya bridge, Namo ghat and serene Ganges. The site is under Archeological survey of India. Entry is Rs.25 each and timings is 6 am to 5 pm. Good place for family visit !!
The location is pristinely kept. Away from the city's bustling noise, the atmosphere here is very calm. It also has a scenic view to the namo ghat and the Ganges. On the opposite side, there are the excavated remains of rajgat.
