One of the most exciting places which even my children also like is this. Please do make a visit. It's an amazing place to see and go through the era of Shastriji. How simply the great Indian of that era used to live. Admirable! His lifestyle, even tiny things is restored nicely. I got goosebumps to see his office and especially the India Map of that Era at his back office wall. Most underrated tourist places. Shastri ji's official PM residence was dedicated as a National Memorial in 2005 and houses all his personal belongings including his house and office artifacts, personal car, gifts from dignitaries, literature, galleries etc. One is inspired by his life and ideals of simple living, high thinking and higher devotion to honesty and hardwork for the society. The Memorial is free for public entry, open from 10 AM - 5 PM (Tuesday is holiday) and provides sufficient car parking and has wheelchair accessibility. The staff is courteous and helpful. The Annexe houses the Lal Bahadur Shastri Research Centre for Public Policy and Social Change (LBSRC) which is the Research Arm of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), Delhi.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial exhibits the life of our second prime minister of India and how he helped India in reaching new heights. The museum is well maintained and you can see various trophies, clothes, gifts, and other items that Mr. Shastri received during his lifetime. Entry to the museum is free and there are washrooms located too at the end of the museum. One thing to be noted here you will some monkeys in the garden so be aware of them. You wi also find the car of Mr Shastri which he used when he was the prime minister of India.

Free entry. You can see the whole memorial in 30-45 minutes. It's near the National Museum. There are lots of monkeys here so it is suggested to avoid carrying any edible products in your hands.
