Lakshmi Hotel - Extended stay hotel in Thanjavur - Thanjavur, India

Worst experience. I am a traveller and in my experience, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. They promised 4800 per room while checking in l, but charged 5300 plus taxes at the end. We had a big argument about this since there were shift changes of staff. Finally, the reception CCTV was checked to find them guilty. The irony is, even after that, they said they ll give 200 rs discount. We fought to make them bill 4800, at the end. We have to mention about the manager ( A lady). Who's not fit for the job. She thinks she's playing smart with words. Made us all feel embarrassed and awkward, by directly questioning us if we got extra person to stay without charges. Such a rude behaving lady. We had been the only guest that stayed in the hotel for the night, & if this staff quality continues, they can soon shut this down.

Worst service and manuplative behaviour by manager. We booked room for 4 people for 2 rooms and the price mentioned during check in was Rs.4750 per room. While checking out they are telling that the price Rs4750 which they mentioned was for single occupancy and rate for 2 people per room is Rs5300. We mentioned to them that we were communicated withRs4750 but the lady manager never believed our words she was telling there is no single chance for their receptionist to quote at the price. Then they had to check cctv camera recordings and they came to know that the price Rs4750 was told by their receptionist. Even after that they told us to pay 5600 meaning a Rs200 discount from the Rs5900 price. Manuplative behaviour by manager. The audacity to ask higher price when complete mistake was on their side. Also they were asking if we 5 people stayed in two rooms where we booked only for 4 of them. Unethical behaviour by the management and treating customers with a doubt factor. Never go to this place.

Had a pleasant one night stay at this hotel.Staffs are welcoming and helpful.Quick to attend to requests. Room is spacious and food is good too.

One of the worst experience i ever had!! The management doesn't even know how to treat the customers, especially the manager over her doesn't knw anythg other thn yelling to people eventhough mistake in there side, i never suggest anyone to book rooms here, you can find better rooms in good price in other hotels

Worst customer treatment.....we feel like we are treated like slaves ...very rude behaviour from manager....there is no proper staf in night shift they committed 4800 +tax for double room but they are saying they will charge 5300+tax..we booked two rooms for 4 people they are saying we booked room only for three people....after seeing the Cctv they accepted their mistake in a very rude way...pls don't stay in this hotel ..very worst service

No general manager, no night manager. No customer service. Reception and restaurant staff: rude, arrogant, no courtesy. Restaurant staff: no clean uniforms nor hands. Restaurant tables, cutlery, glassware, crockery, dirty. Restaurant prices very high for very low-quality food and service. No food without spice. Restaurant service: very slow. All rooms very noisy and not clean. Requested to change room, but the hotel was fully booked as I was informed by receptionists. One hour later, change rooms and still very noisy room, next to machineries. No mosquito net and no mosquito repellent in the room. WIFI coverage, very poor: off and on. No hot water in the bathroom The hotel cannot be considered a 5-star hotel even in India!

Located in the center of Thanjavur Town, The room size is very small for what we are paying, Hot water is on demand not 24*7, Morning breakfast is the worst, The lights are very dull in the lawn area, No balcony, Wifi speed is very poor,No smart TV, Only 2 hangers inside the dressing storage.

Wanted to share my experience. -- TLDR; not recommended for stay. Unprofessional staffs. -- I have known the hotel owner , studied in their school. So, took my husband to this place to stay for a day. The reception/ front desk guy was so rude and judgemental. He thought we were not married. He didnt even greet or welcome us. When we enquired about executive and suites, he told whole hotel is booked and only limited rooms available. We were asked for govt id proofs, which is normal in every hotel. But then he started scrutinising and told we were not having same address in aadhar card. My husband told we were married recently. The front guy asked us to prove him we are married by providing him the marriage certificate!! Trust me I have stayed in many different hotels for business and family trips both in India and Overseas, never ever asked like this before or treated this way by a front desk before! Despite all that my husband still gave him our marriage certificate since I was the one who recommended that hotel. We wanted to check the room once before we book. Different guy took us to show room, we enquired if there are suites available, he told that entire 1st floor is under maintenance and only in 3rd floor rooms are available. Whereas the front desk guy told the hotel was full, which shows no transparency. We ignored all this and still went ahead. Finally when we were about to book, front desk guy told guests are not allowed inside the room. I agree that I have heard that some hotels do have this rule. But we asked the front desk , is it not allowed even for an hour. Because my brother wanted to join us and take one office meeting from our room. That rude front desk guy told that is how their rules are. Stay if we want or leave. In summary, never ever stay here!! Dear trustee/ owner of the hotel, please have your frontdesk staffs take hospitality 101 course!! P.S - if you are looking for good stay ,go for hotel Sangam or Svatma or hotel Gnanam
