Lake Forest - A Club Mahindra Associate Resort, Yercaud, Tamil Nadu - Resort hotel in Kombaikkadu - Salem, India

1. Last year in March visited the place as a club mahindra memeber. Location of the place is good but maintenance is not as per the requirement. 2. It's a old vintage setup hotel with antique looks but sorry state of affair seeing the management. 3. Food was also average. We like the live pizza counter. 4. Should be avoided and can be cater for other options of Yercud.

We were a group of 10 people who travelled from Chennai overnight and reached the place around 7 AM.. We were provided early check-in and the process was straight-forward. The buffet breakfast was very good and had good varieties. There was a live dosa counter too. Overall food and service was excellent. Rooms had an antique touch and decent size. Washrooms were not maintained properly. Coming to the best part of the stay.. the property location is too good surrounded by a lot of greenery and the entire property had an antique touch.. loved the ambience and location of the property.

Even 1 star is not deserved to be given. Worst property I ever experienced. Be it the type of rooms, their infra inside, or their service and charges. It's an old looking property situated down the hill, so if you happen to get rooms downstairs, it would be disaster. You have to climb up hill every time.. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Why? Because they charge 30% service tax on any item you order for room service. Had ordered dinner items worth 2000 and paid 600 rupees for service. Service - it will take ages for them to prepare and send the items, you would better prefer to go to restaurant and get the item self. Their reception, housekeeping or room service never receives the phone. If you happen to get connected with them... They won't understand you because their intercom even is pathetic. Cleanliness - OK, we were getting Iron rusted water ( complete yellow color) in basins. Cockroaches everywhere. Parking the car is also a nightmare. Overall.. It would be your worst decision you ever took to stay in this property.

Overall experience was good. The antique touch was excellent.

Peaceful ambience for nature lovers, in the verdant confines of a coffee estate. Comfortable and spacious rooms with a heritage feel. Excellent food and friendly service in the restaurant. Senior citizens may find it difficult if allocated rooms that require climbing.

Good location but very poorly managed resort acclaimed as a heritage resort with good greenery. Most unhygienic place to spend a night. The bathroom in the room we stayed as a group of 3 members didn't have a door( just a feel of the prision toilet all exposed) There was a torn shower screen extremely dirty. The exhaust fan switch didn't work. The stinking bathroom smell was all over the bedroom. It was so uncomfortable as we were on a business conference trip. The house keeping is very poor. I had to beg for room service to clean the room and washroom as we were 3 people staying there. The resort is managed by a lady called Mrs Laxmi running around from pillar to post. She was really working hard to hold on to the service. The food quality was not good The worst Buffet even an Omlette wasn't served. Poor choice of break fast for the exorbitant price charged . The conference room is pathetic and very dusty. The sound system is horrible. The audio system was replaced twice but it was still lousy. No proper parking I would certainly say it's a "No" for any business conference and accommodation.

The stay here in lake forest resort was amazing, we enjoyed the ambience here, the architecture of the room was historical and seamlessly blend into the natural beauty around them. We loved the buffet spread, there was wood fired pizza and campfires. The food was endlessly delicious. Will definitely visit again here. :)

The property is absolutely beautiful. I love the fact that this place is pet friendly. The only thing I was disappointed about was the maintenance. The property wasn't maintained to the Club Mahindra Standard. The rooms didn't have water kettle. I was present when the room was being cleaned, the cleaning process was equal to not cleaning itself. The food at the restaurant was not good at all. I loved the live pizza where there was wood-fired oven. The pizza tasted good.
