La Promenade Hotel - Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram, Kovalam - Thiruvananthapuram, India

No pros found, only cons: (1) Dirty rooms & bedsheets. (2) Seepage on walls here and there. (3) Neither picked up the call nor any one was available at reception counter when went there to complain about the smoke coming out of door bell. Electrician came after 1-1.5 hours. (4) Lift operation was switched off in the morning. (5) The filthy TASTELESS FOOD! Yuck! And many more bad experiences... Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please don't waste your money here.

Pros The Staff is very hospitable Excellent location at the centre of kovalam junction. Not suitable for people who want the beach to be nearby. Restaurant below makes good food. Cons No mornign coffee or tea.. The restaurant opens only at 8:30AM. Breakfast also after that only. But they give the breakfast to room by 8:43 am... no food before that.. If u need tea or coffee before that, you should come down and go to a chotta hotel nearby. Rooms have shown wear and tear.. it has become old.. no further service is done by the owner i suppose. I stayed in a room called Cloves. bathroom taps and accessories are very old.. works very fairly... i think these rooms are worth for 1500 rs only... No morning newspaper to room. No 24 hr restaurant. No buffet breakfast. you choose for a masaladosa and a tea only, that too at 8:30 AM. I stayed here for going for DNB exam. worked well for me. Had to pay 300 rs for auto to go to exam centre.. Night was little noisy, sensitive people may find it hard to study. since the hotel is located at a traffic junction. In short, I did not complain, because even though facilities were less, it was made up by their hospitality. One room boy was rude... rest were very nice...

The rooms were very clean and nice, the receptionist and hotel staff were very hospitable and welcoming, the location really adds to the stay as it is located very closely to the local beach, having a restaurant as well part of the hotel made the stay even more pleasant and increased convenience, I particularly have to mention Shinoy Vargheese as he does a an excellent job managing the place, overall I have no negatives and would highly recommend the place to anyone who wants a clean and safe room for an amazing price

In this sleepy town , we found a gem...This place is just opposite to the road which leads to the famous kovalam beach. Spread of food and quantity is very good. The fish biriyani and the chicken biriyani were of excellent taste and of a never before feel. The ambience actually enthralls you..beautiful done concrete structures looking like a jungle inside the city..an being open air adds to the feel of a garden restaurant. Staff were courteous and prompt. Next time i am travelling to these places...a visit to LP is a must

Receptionist was welcoming and polite. However we had a bitter experience with the restaurant staff. We parked the car in front of the hotel as we were staying there. The restaurant staff came and abused us for parking there. He thought we parked the car there and went outside for food. When we conveyed that we are staying in the hotel he just left without even apologizing fot the filthy language he used. No professionalism from the part of restaurant management also for extending an apology. Never coming back
