La Mirban Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cliff side resort, and I must say it was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning cliff views that greeted me. The location of this resort is simply unbeatable, with the sea just a stone's throw away. The accommodations were comfortable and impeccably clean, providing a great atmosphere for a relaxing mood. The staff were not only friendly and accommodating but also knowledgeable about the area, offering excellent recommendations for local seafood restaurants and activities. I felt well taken care of during my entire stay. In summary, this hotel offers an ideal coastal escape. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or just a place to unwind and recharge, this hotel by the cliff is a fantastic choice. I can't wait to return and savor more of those breathtaking sunsets.

Bad place to stay in Varkala. The people over here are showing too much attitude. Treat people with respect.

Right off the cliff are these cottage style rooms. Clean and well maintained with good hospitality. Close to the beach and best food spots along the cliff. Might be a little tough to get a car, but other than that it's pretty solid. They also have yoga classes in their courtyard.

Stayed there sometime back. They claim sea view, in a way yes it is right; you should specifically select a cottage and sit at a specific spot. Apart from that you see nothing.

Very good resort. Peaceful location and very scenic resort. Very near to beach. Rooms and bed sheets were clean and tidy. Sufficient car parking and good attitude of staff.

I would strongly recommend La Mirban resort to everybody , according to their comfortable zone and price....Clean and hygiene the room was, slight view for the sea, greenery set up....They were extremely helpful to find where the lunch and dinner be affordable and best resort..as we came from different state....and the one who were in reception called Joe attean is extremely helpful to get our needs... Peaceful environment and clean rooms. Service and location is good. Not so luxurious or resort like facilities available.still cottages are nice and ambient.

I visited Varkala in the last week of May and was staying in the south cliff. I got to know that the north cliff was much more vibrant with shacks and more eateries. Considering that I booked one day at Miraben through the Ease my Trip app as I wanted to pay by card and the hotel refused to take card payments. This is what happened; I first booked through Agoda and realized that they have asked to pay at the property. This is when I spoke to the manager to check if they accept card payments to which the answer was no. As I did not want to block my cash I cancelled my booking on Agoda and rebooked through Ease my Trip and paid through card. I called the manager back to tell him that I made a booking through another App and wanted to amke sure that he got the confirmation. To this is answer was amazing "What are you doing Madam, are you living in this world. If in this era you say you do not have cash/ GPay but only want to pay by card then who will believe you". I wonder what triggered this insult but I dnt think using a card is a steep ask. Also, he plainly replied that their property is not listed on Ease My Trip without bothering to check. Today after 2 weeks when I checked it is still listed there and they have no even attempted to change this misleading information.
