Pathetic hospital and doctors. Gives no attention to patients. Doctors are worst here as they don't listen to patients problem and made us wait for hours.

I am rating this philanthropic institution " L M PATEL ROTARY EYE HOSPITAL" as a 5* one. And of course then I have to say my experiences in details. All the employees and doctors here are very cooperative and always are ready to help you. I personally visited this institution for my cataract surgery and due to my sudden high blood pressure ( I've not been suffering from hypertension though) I had to visit 4 times before my left eye surgery done on 6th January 2022 and a post-surgery check up the following day. So no one can tell about this eye hospital better than me. If I am to tell by name then I don't know all of their names. But the names from the interaction amongst them while remaining simultaneously busy at work are : Mrs Preeti remains very calm always and like an allrounder I saw her work on various desks with similar aptitude. Miss Pooja, probably a junior doctor, is very energetic, amiable and works wholeheartedly with utmost satisfaction of her own self. The doctor who checked my fitness for surgery is very simple and cooperative and of course an expert in her profession. Dr Shubhangini by whom I had first been checked up is very efficient and cool. Dr Raksha who checked me for post-surgery symptoms is equally efficient and cool. One thing more - in OPD prior to coming to the one of these two senior doctors you have to get yourself checked by three other experts who are really very active and cooperative. You'll feel at home. Dr Raj who called me over phone and reminded me of the surgery the day after and instructed me how to take the pre-surgery medicines is very polite and knowledgeable. Dr Samant who explained me about the lenses and the other things is very knowledgeable too. Lastly, Dr Mihir - the surgeon who operated on my left eye (right eye is yet to be done as of now) is truly a genius! So expert yet so simple and calm All his associates too are active and jovial. Your pre-operative stress will totally be gone once you enter the OT. In fact, no where in this institution I saw any egoistic or rude behaviour. Yes, one thing especially to be noted in this concern that if a doctor herself is to call a patient from inside her cabin when around more than 50 people (patients and fellows) are busy in making noise outside then, obviously, she must have to enhance the pitch of her voice. And that's not called rudeness. Being a charitable trust providing free surgery to many poor and needy and to others at almost half the market rate today L M PATEL ROTARY EYE HOSPITAL is the best of all I have so far checked in Mumbai. CIMflex 42 .. IOL Monofocal, hydrophilic is the best and the cheapest of all the foreign brands currently available in this hospital. It's a product of USA. I opted for this. You may go for others as well. Indian brand is also there. Remember one thing that Monofocal lenses are cheaper and better in which case you may have to wear glasses for reading. This hospital suggests only Monofocal lenses. That's their honesty. Tomorrow 10th January 2022 is my check up date and I'll know when my right eye would be operated. Now I can see clearly with my left eye without any prescription glasses. Earlier it was all foggy when I used to see with my left eye.

GOING TO FILE POLICE COMPLAINT AGAINST THE GUARD THE WORST EXPERIENCE BY THE SECURITY GUARD... My granny(75yrs old) wanted to check her eye power as she was told by the doctor. First day she went to the hostipal at 10am and the security guard told her to come again tomorrow at 9am. Second day she visited the hospital again the security guard told her to leave as the hospital was crowded. ON THE THIRD DAY SHE VISITED HOSPITAL AT 9.45 AM AND TOLD THE GUARD TO LET HER IN, THE GUARD DENIED AND TOLD HER TO LEAVE. MY GRANDMOTHER REQUESTED THE GUARD TO ARRANGE THE EYE TEST APPOINTMENT AS IT WAS THE THIRD DAY OF HER VISITING. THE GUARD YELLED AT HER AND PUSHED HER ALSO ABUSED HER. MY ONLY REQUEST TO THE HOSPITAL IS PLEASE TEACH YOUR GUARDS HOW TO BEHAVE WITH SENIOR CITIZENS PL DONT VISIT THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET INSULTED BY A GUARD... INSTEAD GO TO LENSKART STORE WHICH IS JUST IN FRONT OF IT OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I am Hira Sontake. I was operated for left eye cat and right eye cat+trab. Today I have come for Dr. Chanda who has operated me. Staff,Drs.,Ot staff are very cooperative. I am very happy with the hospital.

As per my understanding, this eye care hospital is run by rotary trust. If you want to professionally get your eyes tested by an ophthalmologist , then go to this hospital instead of relying on your local optometrist. Google the difference between an ophthalmologist and optometrist and you will know what I mean to say. The charges for a complete eye check up is Rs.80 (Eighty Rupees only) per patient regardless of your age. Some people may need additional tests like eye medicine in their eyes as per the complications noted by the doctors. In terms of customer service especially at the reception, start with low expectations and you will not be disappointed! The quality of eye checkup is more important in this case. The doctors/assistants who test your eyes are quite polite - especially a lady doctor named Dr.Monal. Spare at least one hour if you visit this hospital on a busy working day. Do not complain about the waiting time. There is enough seating capacity for at least 50 people. The washroom facilities are pathetic, so avoid it. Even when you feel that your eyes are perfect, still it is advisable to get the eye test done at least once a year. The only payment mode they accept is hard cash...no credit/debit cards or paytm, etc. You will have to pay Rs.80/- in advance to the receptionist. You will have to take a blank form from the security at the entrance. Fill up the form and hand over to the receptionist at first floor. They will then call your name aloud later when it is time to consult the doctors. They conduct various computerized eye tests. If the doctor finds any problem with your eyes, they will suggest spectacles for correction. You will be given an appropriate prescription for the same. The OPD receipt which you get would be valid for 30 days. You have to bring that with you for your next visit so that you would not be charged again for the case paper. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hospital on the basis of the experience which I had personally. PS: After being a professional mystery shopper for about 10 years, it has become my second nature to offer my objective reviews. I do not know any of the staff personally nor do I get any kind of compensation or favor to write these kind of reviews - which are specifically meant to help people like you and me.

Worst experience ever....don't waste your time here in this hospital to save your money....you have to wait a doctor for more than 2-3 hours.. although this hospital is of a trust but at the time of checkup you will convinced to have your operation in the private clinic of the doctor here... officials here are not co-opertive..

I had good experience in hospital, service and safety is also good. Dr. pooja mam is so generous, behave with patients nicely ,staff was good .
