Kushavart Kund is located at 400 meters distance from Main Trimbakeshwar temple. It is back side to the temple. Kushavart Kund is considered to be the symbolic origin of Godavari River. The Water of Godavari comes from Brahmagiri mountains which is origin of Godavari river and gets stored here. From Kushavart Kund the river goes towards and the Miracle is that nobody knows from where the water leaves the pond and forms the river. This Kund has a stone pavement and verandahs on all sides. There are small temples at the four corners of the Kund. On the Southeast corner is the temple of Kedareshwar Mahadev, who is disguise of Kedarbatta made Gautam Muni bathe in the waters and gave him prayaschitta for the sin of killing a Cow. To the southwest is Sakshi Vinayak, who is witness to the all devotees who all visiting the temple and Kund. To the northeast is the temple of Godavari Maa. Kushavart Ghat is a spectacular place. You don't want to spend too much time there as it is sometimes overcrowded. There is a place for bathing separately on the side for 30 Rs. per person. Lack of cleanliness. On one side, the holy water above the Shivalinga comes at people's feet no one cares.

Place of Amrut dropped from Samudra Manthan. The one and only Kund important in Tribakeshwar out of 110 Kund. This kund offers you moksha if you take deep dive in it.

Amazing stone work, Holy kund / pond a must visit for art n architecture lovers. Holy enough to clean the sin of cow killing, and pure enough to take a bath. Honoured to have a dip in it.

Amazing piece of ancient history. Lovely temple. Full of positive vibes. Great architecture. Huge waiting time. People trying to misguide tourist by offering special darshan without line for 1000, 2000 rs. This should be curbed.
Gautam Lake is just next to Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga. It looks very beautiful during rains. It is a very quiet and beautiful place. we can feed food to the fish also.
