Natural beauty. It is a religious place, still the place is calm and serene. You can get a really good Trek there. It will be very challenging for senior persons. There will be mass at about 6 am and 9.30 am on Sundays. It is very less crowded on weekdays.
Such a nice and beautiful view point from heights of kurishmudy church.. mesmerizing view.. there is about 5 km climb.. and 2300 ft above sea level.. mountains are covered in fog and mist.. cool temperature.. cool air winds.. must visit and highly recommended to visit during holy week.. nice place to strengthen your faith in Christianity. St. Thomas apostle faithful intercessor of Jesus Christ and origin of St. Thomas Christianity in India.
Absolutely amazing as ever and always . Most blissful and divine shrine .
A good place for pilgrimage, one has to do a decent bit of walking to get here. They have taps with drinking water throughout the way so one doesn't have to worry about getting thirsty. Famous for the church/chapel and the what is believed to be the remains of footprints casted by St Thomas. You can say the place is peaceful and zen, a good place for a nice prayer if you are into that. A piece of advice is to climb before the sun is up or the evening as it kinda gets a bit too humid in the afternoon.
It's a wonderful spot. Went for the first time.
Initial climbing is little difficult but after that it's ok. All try to go in the night it will be better..
Everybody says that "the greatest view comes after the hardest climb".its true. i have gone to this place as a part of one of my thoughts that my friend once said that quote.he reminded me that its a great view that you have to see after a great climb.its a hard cardiac workout. Malayatoor kurisumala is one of the oldest christian pilgrim centre in kerala.. Believed that St. Thomas the apostle came here on around AD 52 and stayed and prayed at the top of the mountain.. There is a foot print on a rock at the mountain..
