Kunwar Residency - Hotel in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

This hotel is all about the location and the view. The view from the back balcony was gorgeous and well worth the stay. I would recommend this place for that reason. The room was nice, but the tv didn't seem to work (or at least I could not figure it out) and the shower was fairly lacking in the hot water department. There was a communication error about keys for some reason, and a staff member came into our room with a key, to give us a key without knocking, while we were asleep. The walls were pretty paper thin, so you could hear the neighbors and the prayers at the temple next door. The room service was good and quick. Unfortunately the bridge was under construction, which was another reason we booked the room. I am not sure when the new one will be done.

Excellent hotel! Well situated next to Laxman jhula! The rooms are perfect! The view is amazing! The people are professional and kind! A pleasure to stay in this place!

Kunwar Residency is a great place for a peaceful vacation. The rooms have a great view of the Ganga River. The hotel staff is courteous and makes you feel welcome. We were even upgraded to a better room.

I had a chance to stay in this hotel. I had gone with the family of my friends. They wanted to stay in a reasonable place on the banks of Ganges. We zeroed in on this hotel. The best part of the hotel is the scenery just outside the room. Ganga river flowing right there, mountains surrounding, temple view. Right next to Laxman jhoola bridge. Though Laxman Jhoola at the moment is unoperational due to repairs and renovation, yet it is a beautiful sight to look upon. Many coffee shops are around the area. Ganga river is very near. If you have to go up to the main road to travel to other places, then reaching the road is a little uphill. Or one can hire a cab or e Rick. Hotel rooms are basic. Bathrooms don't have a separation curtain or a glass. Hence, after the bath, the whole bathroom gets wet. The shower in my room was not forceful. They had a bucket, so I used that only for taking my bath. Otherwise, clean rooms. But the staff is very good, friendly and helpful. They come immediately if called. I would recommend this hotel, if you want to be near Ganga ji river. You sleep and wake up in the blissful company of Ganga ji. But for that bliss, one has to sacrifice a little about some other facilities. I don't mind going again there.

We stayed at Kunwar Residency on 20/10/23 and again on 25-26/10/23 in course of our visit to Kedarnath!! I must say that overall it was a very pleasant experience in all respect including the cleanliness n amenities in rooms, views( the river Ganga flowing just beneath us), the food and the friendly staff incl Mr Suraj, the Manager, and we really enjoyed our stay as much as we enjoyed in 2019 during our stay then. It was real value for money with sweet memories all along..

I really enjoyed my stay in Kunwar Residency. I stayed in a standard room, and even though I found the size a bit too small, the view from the balcony right in front of my room, is astounishing - right in front of the river and the mountains. It was so relaxing to hear the sound of the river, and I just loved to sit in the chair of my balcony and just contemplate the view. The food is alright, nothing special.. The whole staff including the receptionist/manager were all very friendly and polite. The place itself is quiet and chill. The prices of the food and the booking was a bit pricey to be honest, but its kinda the normal range here in Rishikesh, in case u want a place with good comfort like this one. I miss staying here already, and will definetly come back!

I think this is the best hotel with best services in rishikesh you will get. The staff is nice and rooms are clean.
