this place had a serene feel to it, a nice cozy place inside the temple compound managed by monks. authentic thukpa and momos are must try. Though it may taste pale to Gujarati who love tasty food, but it is a good change of taste.
I ordered Thupka but other items were really okay. The service was good as well. A lot can be improved on adding some more ingredients in Momos . The peach ice tea was very watery and no sugar.
Stopped for a brunch.
The steamed momos were fantastic.
The noodles were fresh and hot.
The taste is good.
You need to place the order at the counter and they will serve you at the table.
They are very simple people here and they do a great job in feeding people.
It's vegetarian and the food is fresh.
Do enjoy your time here .

The cafe seems good from the outside. The food was okay. I loved the Thupka but other items were really okay. The service was not great as well. A lot can be improved. Momos and Fried rice did not had enough salt. The iced cafe was very watery and no sugar. Pineapple milkshake was also very diluted.
Ordered veg momos for 100 rs at 8 pieces n veg soup for 50rs
Just average food n ambience is good as we can sit outside n hav food...
The place fantastic to eat food and have a chit chat with friends. But the food itself is not all good. So order few food at first, later order more if you like the food because the quantity is more.
Had thupka and it was awful.. extremely bland..
The atmosphere of the cafe was good..
I suggest you go for shakes or something like that because food is very bad
Veg soup had no vegetables just corn flour water
Thupka is same , some watery noodles ... no veggies no flavour nothing
The worst thukpa I have ever eaten anywhere
Such bland and tasteless food
Only ginger lemon tea was good
Shakes were dilute
We went for lunch and the items available were very less and whatever we ate was so pathetic that we did not even think of trying the fried items , we just left
Such a commercial place inside monastery
Giving water noodles in place of thukpa and watery shakes

The Best cafe in Namdroling Monastery premises. Reasonable rates on the menu for almost all the items. Ginger Lemon with Honey is a must try on the menu. Fries & Burgers are super yum. The staff is highly polite. Had a chance to interact with a group
