Opened only during December/ January during festive season. Have to walk atleast 2km from vehicle dropoff. And its a steep plain. So difficult for elderly as well people with walking. But still many elderly travel to see Lord Muthappa.
Also, wear good chappals/shoes. Ample parking option is there. There are many food stalls that you can try for a variety of dishes. Have other cloth, bakery stalls as well.
Muthappan starr in late evening around 7:30pm and it last til 2-3am
Origin place of muthappan, seasonal pilgrimage place, along with muthappan and thiruvappan we can see some other theyyam also, all the programmes are at night / early morning. Alot of food stalls available infront of the gate we can explore the taste of meat items like rabbit, quail, pork, beef and chicken, can carry toddy but other liquor is prohibited
