Kundana was the capital of Hoysala Ramanathan Raja at the end of 13th century in 1537 AD Kempegowda ordered for the construction of banglore on the orders of the Vijayanagara Empire at that time kundana was the only military base . Currently the place is home to Channarayaswamy temple and Anjaneyaswamy temple. There is a doorway at the entrance and one can see the temple on the fort's hillock. Wow what a great place. It's a nice view point from the top hill. Some people were drunk and threw a beer bottles . other than this place is very nice
It is a very peaceful place where we can find in Bangalore .which is situated in the rural area of Bangalore near devanahalli airpost road and it is far from the city outskirts it's a best place to witness sunset and sunrise it's a best place to chill in weekend in today's busy schedule please make time and visit these places it refreshs our mind and soul totally a good viewpoint with a peaceful vibe
Unusually Peaceful and Serene though it's only about 30 km from Bangalore. There is a paved road that goes almost all the way up there. We will have to walk about 250 mtrs to the top from there. The views are all simply awesome. On a Saturday morning there was no one else. We were the only 5 people to enjoy the place. No noise, no crowd - absolutely peaceful. Do carry food and water when you plan to go there as there is nothing available over there. If going to a place and enjoying the peace and serenity is your thing, then I'd highly recommend this place for you.
One of the best places to view sunrise around Bangalore. Unlike Nandi hills, Kundana fort is absolutely peaceful and lets you soak in the experience. Ideal for two and four wheelers as there's a cemented way to reach the parking area. From there, just a couple of stairs will take you to the top of the fort. You might come across a lot of monkeys but they hardly seem bothered by human presence. Although it'd be better not to eat something there. And please please don't litter the place.
Located at just 30km from Bangalore, very peaceful, no crowd
