Visited this tranquil place recently, and it left me in awe. The serenity and quietude here were remarkable. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly witnessing the birthplace of Lord Mahaveera Swami, the 24th Tirthankar of the Jain religion, which gave me goosebumps. The presence of a Dharamshala on the premises was convenient, allowing us to stay close to this sacred site. The flexibility in contributing to the Dharamshala without fixed charges is a nice touch, allowing visitors to give as per their willingness. What's even more thoughtful is that you can savor meals right there without having to venture elsewhere. The Bhojanshala serves food until 6 p.m., and there's a canteen facility open until 9 p.m. If you're coming from the Nalanda ruins, expect to spend around Rs50-Rs100 each on an e-auto to reach here. It's accessible not only from Bihar Sharif but also from Patna, Rajgir, and Gaya via buses and taxis. For those traveling by train, the nearest railway station is Nalanda, and the closest airports are in Patna and Bodhgaya. A visit to this historic place is a truly memorable experience.
From nalanda khandar to travel here, you will have to spend ~approx 50-100Rs each on e-auto. Other than this, the temple area was well hygienly maintained and clean.
During our visit we found is very quite plac. Felt goosebumps to see the birthplace of Lord Mahaveera. A must visit place for all Jains.
Bhagwan Mahaveer Birth place and there are beautiful architectural temple. I have some good photos which I'm sharing here and very few people visit here thats why no gathering you can have peaceful time.
Good place to visit the birth place of Mahavir(founder of jain dharm). Everything is organised well and the surroundings are clean also has enough parking area.
Birth place of lord Mahavira. Well developed temple. The dharamshala is okay. There are no fix charges, you can contribute per your will. The bhojanshala works till 6 p.m. There is a canteen facility
