Very nice falls.. but had to travel a bit as it is located in the interior part.. but it was worth.. can enjoy with friends and family.. even kids will enjoy as there is a small pond sort of place where they can be in water and enjoy. There is a car parking. Need to walk lil bit to reach the falls.. we went from tamilnadu.. there was a checkpost where we had to make an entry for our car. Pls note the police in the falls entry gate were not allowing those who were drunk..
A beautiful waterfall located 6 km east of Achankovil, 400 meters from the road. Achankovil river falls here from a height of 25 meters over a cliff. It falls in 2 layers. A well has formed at the site of the fall. Visitors can take bath here. But everyone prefers to take a bath in such a way that the water falls directly from the bottom of the first floor. Stairs have been built and handrails attached to climb up here. Soap, shampoo and oil are not allowed. The ticket price is 50 rupees. Vehicles should be parked on the main road. Parking fee for cars is Rs.75. There is a washroom facility adjacent to the forester's office
Beautiful falls with a pond like rock structure in it. Parking place , dress changing room, toilet and mini canteen available near ticket issue bundling. Rs. 50 per person and Rs. 75 per vehicle. Soap, oil and shampoo strictly not allowed inside. Have to walk for 5 - 10mins to Waterfalls. No dressing change facility near Waterfalls.
Kumbhavurutty Waterfall is a famous waterfalls in South India situated near Aryankavu panchayath in Kollam district of Kerala near Tamil Nadu border. Located on the eastern area of Kollam District, Kumbhavurutty falls is one among the few crowd pulling waterfalls in Kerala. During peak times, the daily collection of this tourism spot will cross Rs. 1,50,000. It is about 6.5 km away from Achenkovil. This waterfall is a part of river Achankovil. Manalar Waterfall is another important waterfall near to this. The travelers can see wild animals also if lucky. Because the waterfall is very close to the thick Konni Forest area. Palaruvi Falls is another nearby attraction of this falls
We have visited here in August and the best time to visit is during mansoon or rainy seasons. For bathing this is the best time. During our visit, the waterfall is very minimum and there was high rush. If you are coming here for a bath, please avoid rush times. Otherwise you need to wait for hours to enter in to the bath area. I have already visited kuttalam or courtalam waterfall before this. There also I see same situation like high rush and less water. Take your kids safe and enjoy. The main negative sides are they are charging parking fee, rush and need to walk more than 500m etc..
This water fall located inside the forest and the water is crystal clear Water fall is 400m away from the road and its only walkable distance.
Its worst place for LADIES who wants to enjoy the waterfall. Because mens will enjoy the main waterfall which is in the above, then that dirty water will come down, there ladies can have bath.. Other wise the natural forest sightseeing is nice..
Amazing and wonderful place for bike riding. We also enjoyed the mist on the way as we went. That place had elephant crossing and hairpin bend also are awesome.
