Kumbalangi-Perumpadappu Bridge - Bridge in Kochi - Ernakulam, India

The bridge has a main role in connecting the people from Ernakulam, Perumbadappu etc. Kumbalangi is like an island and this bridge act as a connection in between the place with other cities.

Nice place to spend an evening on the shore of the lake under the bridge.. Just to sit. Nothing more than a place to sit in the evening, unless you can find happiness in every small things. Because there is nothing much to be excited ... there is a mangrove on one side which could be a site if there were no plastic and wastes. A good example of how we take care of our public surroundings( sarcastic). There is some newly installed workout equipments , just a few rusty old play equipments for children and a short walk way If you are a workout maniac. There is an open air stage for some culturals or meetings , there is a gallery with a view of the lake, a few old useless fishing net installations and a big scenery of African algae. Trust me, if we could work on this, we can make a great PROMANADE out of this in this exo friendly village of ours.

The Kumblanghy Bridge is a very important bridge which connects Kumblanghy ro the main land which was few decades ago an island surrounded by rivers and had no connection to the main land.Prior to the construction of this bridge the vehicles from Kumblanghy was transported using rafts tied to motor boats and I had used this service for visiting the relatives at Kumblanghy. Now there are other bridges also on the southern end of this place.Nowadays this place has become a subject of discussion since a movie named KUMBLANGHY NIGHTS is being shortly released.

The main road and bridge connecting the village of Kumbalangi with Perumpadappu. There seems to be a private bus bay along the underside of the bridge. The view of the water beliw from the bridge is lovely. The road is alo of reasonably good quality.
