Food hasn't changed. Parotta costs 40/piece is too much. Not with the price. Chettinad Garvy is not boneless with huge bony piece and gravy average taste Dosa size could be bigger in size.
One of our elders took a PRAWN DISH and had to be hospitalized for severe diarrhea and food poisoning when we got back to MADRAS This dish was old and spoiled . Thankfully I did not eat it. Most of the items are not WORTH the amounts CHARGED and they are VERY VERY EXPENSIVE . Literally they swindle you with the charges. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY HAVE TO EARN MONEY LIKE THIS
Very very good staff. And excellent food . Coming good in time. No slack of people I found in the Kumar mess. I went to Sunday and it was 4pm. Even though everyone was active and took order and placed good in time with smile.
One of the best place to have Non-Veg food. We tried non-veg meals with Aira Meen Kolanbhu,, mutton chukka, muyal fry and all tasted really good. Will definitely visit again if I get a chance to visit Madurai again.
Cost is bit higher but food is awesome
I'm a vegetarian so I ordered idli and special dosa they gave three varieties of chutney , simply divine My brother ordered crab omelet which he felt that it was not worth the money, he also ordered mutton briyani and kola urundai which he loved and the staffs were gentle and smiling and took great care.
Best place to have meals. Briyani is good but not up to the level. Crab boneless was spicy and it's too good. Rabbit chukka and prawn thokku is also yummy. Fish gravy
Kumar mess Mattuthavani near branch ... One of the awesome non vegetarian restaurant.... Their top best in class was mutton kola urundai .... No one can match this taste .... It was one of the best in their food... I have tasted mutton biriyani ... Briyani mixed was good and perfect in combination with masala ... They have give me kaadai gravy, Chettinad chicken gravy and mutton kolambu for briyani.... Then kaadai fry with onion was good , then I go with chicken lollipop it was perfectly roasted... Egg mutton cury was so awesome it was again started me to tasted it again one.... Then mutton Kari dosa was perfectly mixed and roasted in perfect manner... Then I finished with my favourite nandu omlet ... the service of restaurants was also good ... Need to go once again.
