Entry ticket cost is Adult 75 & Child 50. Photography is not allowed inside. Full history of both Naga and Kumaon Regiment is displayed here. The place is full of GYAN. YOU need atleast 5 hours to read all what is displayed there.
Very old to new top notch achievements of the Army with Swords, Guns, Uniforms, Letters, Helmets, Cutlery, Photographs and much more. Well maintained and neat and clean museum. INR 75 per person (only UPI payment accepted) entry ticket. Free Parking available.
The ticket price of this museum is expensive. It's a small museum and it has good amount of stuff but still tickets are expensive. You have to pay ticket in cash. You can't click photos inside and you can click photos outside of the museum but there are very few things to be clicked, around 3-4 anti-aircraft cannon and artillery. 15-20 minutes enough of exploring this museum. So they should reduce the price of tickets.
As royal it can get, the museum narrates the historical incidents and the participation of Kumaon regiment in the Independence struggle. It also includes details of the awards, medals and recognition provided to soldiers of the regiment for their contributions.
I recently visited the Army Museum and was thoroughly impressed with the exhibits and history on display. The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of our brave soldiers and the extensive history of the Indian Army. The museum is divided into various sections, each of which presents a different aspect of the Indian Army and its contribution to our nation. The collection of weapons, ammunition, and other memorabilia is impressive, and the guides are very knowledgeable, providing valuable insights into the exhibits. Overall, I was impressed with the Army Museum and highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about India's history and the brave soldiers who have fought for our country. It's an eye-opening, educational experience that is not to be missed. Photography is strictly prohibited but I took the permission from the soldiers there to take a picture of my Grandfather who was the first commanding officer of 11 Kumaon.
I take pride in what our soldiers and regiments achieved. To know the chivalry and battle story with evidences you should go there. I still can't forget the images of war and the way they were portraying it. Our brave soldiers, I salute you and always pray for you. Jai Hind !!
