Beautiful stay in the Mountains, great hosts. Loved the food served here. Anil, the host has been extremely helpful in every way. Many small things done with lots of care, nice collection of books, star gazing rock, popcorns, local delicacies for the food! Had a great time at Kuflon Basics. Will strongly recommend.

Had a lovely time with friends recently at Kuflon Basics. Serene environment with greenery all around. The trek to the stream in the evening was wonderful. The food is very nice with good variety and almost home cooked.Both the dogs accompanied us till the stream and came back with us like body Guard's. Great place for rejuvenation and spending time with nature.

One of the best place I can personally recommend. The owner Anil happens to be a great man and an excellent host. The food is great and you can taste the flavour of the locally grown organic vegetables differing from the chemical ones we get in the big cities. I stayed here for 2 nights and the rooms were neat and clean. One has to bring their own toiletries in order to avoid any wastage at the property. Rest everything seemed close to perfection for me. Hope to spend some more time here soon.

What an amazing amazing place. Is basically a farm house nestled between a foothill of a mountain and assi Ganga. Place literally has a therapeutic and calming effect on you . 1. Rooms are very comfortable. The electric blanket and a room heater makes the place cozy even when outside weather is very cold. 2. Food - Can rave about the brilliant home cooked food, but my favourite was the garam adrak waali chai during morning and evenings! 3. Hosts- Nothing will do justice on what I write about Shree and Anil. It's their home and they share that with us. Spent hours speaking with them on range of topics . They genuinely opened their homes and hearts to us ! Joined for every meal, every conversation and basically did everything to make the stay very comfortable. They adopted two lovely mountain pups and can't wait to go back and see them all grown up ! Not to miss out- 1. Trek to top of the mountain right behind the place! 2. Walk down to Assi Ganga and spend time by the stream. 3. Eat breakfast in the sun on the bench across the dinner place :) 4. Enjoy the night sky from the "Star Gazing Rock " 5. Best for the last - Enjoy a drink next to fireplace with Spotify playing in the background !

Staying at Kuflon Basics was hands down one of the best homestay experiences. For anyone wanting to experience Uttarkashi in the most incredible way, Anil & Shree are your hosts and this is your home! I cannot explain enough what an incredible place this is. They'll sit with you, answer all your questions and talk about absolutely anything, exchanging stories and songs. Anil and Shree and the team are thoughtful, always available in case you need anything and go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. The place is scenic and is a joy to come back every evening to the warmth of the house, its lounge area and the hosts after your day trips and hikes. We enjoyed every meal especially Shree's soups. The lounge area where the family spent most of the time was large with comfortable seating, a dholak, fireplace, music system, books and board games. If you are looking at staying in the Uttarkashi area, Kuflon basics is strongly recommended for a happy, comfortable and safe stay!

It's a serene place. Beautiful surroundings, home cooked food, amazing hosts. If you are here, don't miss it..if you want to plan a vacation, I cannot think of a better place.
