Amazing trek, that is a moderately difficult climb to the peak. The trails are clearly marked. It has a beautiful view of the valley and Netravathi peak. Start early in the morning, so to have ample time at the peak. It's 10+10 km trek, and it took us 4-5hrs to reach the peak. Climbing down is much faster, 2.5-3hrs depending on your fitness. There are a lot of streams and water won't be a problem.
Best trek in mansoon. Amazing place. It takes around 3.30-4hrs. There are 9-10 streams on the way so no scarcity of water. Here on the top there is one stream. So you have food and wash here. The distance mentioned is 9km on one side but the guides say 10-11km in actuality. To reach back to base it takes around 2-2.30hrs for a regular trekker.

Amazing experience. It's a test of your patience, mental and physical strength. Every step on the trek route is mesmerising with the surrounding views. You can't help but stop and stare. The streams are heavenly, the water I drank from these streams is probably the best I've ever had in my life. It's a tough trek, the last 3 km stretch at least takes a lot of willpower, but the feeling when you reach the top - nothing can compare to it. Having lunch laying on the plateau of the peak while looking at the surroundings is a feeling which I can't describe. The descent in itself is another experience, my legs were ready to give up and I felt like my knee caps were going to fall off, but the views made up for it. Also the people you meet here and the friendships you make just between all this time is amazing too. Highly recommended trek.

If you're not healthy & fit enough to walk for 6-7 hour . Don't hike because it can be very hectic and those who are fit enough please go and enjoy the beautiful view from the top
