Our trip to Rao Raj Vilas was a last-minute overnight stay. It was a much needed trip for my family with two 10-year-olds. We never thought an unplanned overnight trip would bring joy equivalent to a 10-day trip. The kind of welcome, right from owner Anek ji to his staff at the royal palace, was unexpected--so much warmth and care was taken into making our stay at the beautiful, serene palace memorable. We were woken up by the peacocks, delighted by the monkeys, soothed by the cooing of the cuckoo birds. And then there was the elegant Sandani, the calm mare who allowed our kids to pet her. The food was another delight--the luscious mutton curry, the paneer subzi, whole gobi dunked in an onion-tomato gravy, desserts like Shahi Tukda and Fruit Cream still has us salivating. The staff, Sanjay, Vinod and Sachin, went all out to make us feel at home, royality style. Vinod made sure to follow us wherever we went lest we were troubled by the monkeys! He even showed us around. Anek ji was not at the property but he constantly stayed in touch, ensuring that everything was fine. Never have I seen an owner so particular and kind. Thank you so much for making us so happy.

I got my daughter married at this amazing place, being a history geek this place was the perfect wedding destination she could ask for. Indian weddings are never easily, there are thousand things that could go out of control be it the catering or the large number of gathering, but all of this was a smooth run for us with the constant support and positive attitude of the owners, we really really appreciate their goodness. Really looking forward to go back to this place for our future events! Memorable experience.

This place is beautiful and historical. The garden inspires harmony and peacefulness. Staff members were very kind and the owners were very nice and welcoming. Comfortable rooms with unique historical charms. An unforgettable experience! We will come again!

What a beautiful and historical heritage property just 1 1/2 hour away from Delhi. Get into the serenity of a rustic village environment, but live like a Maharaja. Their hospitality is outstanding and food delicious.

You should pre book. The fort is divided in 3 parts. Mud fort hotel, Raja rao are 2 different . Mud fort starts from 7.5k and Raja Rao is expensive.
