Krs back water - Tourist attraction in Mysuru, Krishnarajasagara - Mandya, India

I have visited KRS backwaters and witnessed the most breathtaking sunset ever! The colors of the sky were absolutely mesmerizing, with hues of orange, pink, and purple blending together. The reflection of the sunset on the calm water was simply magical. It was such a serene and peaceful experience, one that I'll never forget. If you get the chance, I highly recommend visiting a dam backwater during sunset. It's truly awe-inspiring!

Have visited Venugopal swamy Temple and just next to it we have this beautiful KRS Backwater . The view is just amazing and perfect spot for half a day picnic , one can get into water and play around. Fortunately I visited when there as light drizzle and the wind hitting the face was something I can't explain but can be just felt. The air is fresh and just takes away all the tiredness. A road patch of 1-2 km is not nicely built rest all roads are in perfect condition.

Long long back when I went, I really liked this place, but now the place could use some cleanliness. If they avoid food inside the park, trash can be reduced. Park was ok, not many flowers, it was mediocre. Water fountains looked good. I think I wouldn't visit again.

We actually planned to go to KRS dam but the police over there said, "nobody is allowed on top of the dam except VIP and maintenance people." So he recommended that we go to the back waters. From the main road it takes at least 20 mins to reach here. The drive is a bit off road, so plan accordingly. No entry fees. The back water felt like an ocean or beach in common terms. Surrounding it is completely green and there is little shore filled with a variety of shells and stones. You could park your vehicle a little off the shore and walk about a few minutes to reach the water. You can see lots of cranes, birds flying and playing around. The closer you walk, you can hear the waves humming your name. It's a serene beauty to witness with our own eyes. Nature's beauty is always ruined by humans. Lots of alcohol bottles and plastics can be found on the shore, which makes it a bit untidy. Very good location for a photoshoot. This review is completely based on my experience.

Better to go when sun will about to set it's a blue lagoon

It is difficult to reach there without personal vehicle. We took local bus 303p because the autos and taxis were too costly. But this place is very beautiful. Highly recommend

Quite and peaceful place, water way, early morning sun with birds gives us some good experience of nature.

There's no ticket. It's a wonderful place to visit. You can go and enjoy the peace.
