Koyili Hospital - Hospital in Kannur - Kannur, India

One of the old hospitals in kannur. My wife's delivery was in March 2023 this year. We took a room in the new building 2 Ac rooms. Their nurse and house keeping are very good. Their care I am satisfied and giving big thumbs up . Also doctor Amar, big thanks for the successful operation. Negatives are. But the new building also looks old. Post operative section, nurses (I think they work only in this hospital, they don't know how to talk to patients and relatives) and nursing assistants are also behaving rude. My wife underwent such things after the operation at post operative unit. She did not tell me the staff such behaviours, if i know directly inform the management. Also such a big hospital unavailability of a good canteen. Very bad experience in the canteen and unhygienic condition

This is a 40+ year old Hospital is in a state of complete confusion and disorder!... It's infrastructure is unplanned.. is too crowded, administration doesn't know to manage the crowd and patient. Lacks in sanitisation as well.. Patients throw plastic bags, coffee cups, plastic bottles all around the corners. The ward rooms are also not clean..cockroaches running around.. beds are like log of wood! Overall ..You don't get a GOOD FEEL and Doctors are also in a HURRY to clear the patients.. they don't give proper attention.

Doctors, nurses, and, other staffs: 5/5 - really nice Parking: 2/5 - first of all they have limited parking space which can accommodate barely 50 - 60% of the cars. There is no good mechanism to manage parking. Security guards may simply guide you to fully occupied parking space and eventually out of the community without telling you anything. Room service: 2/5 - we had to wait 2 full hours asking continuously for bystander's bedsheet. Room: 3/5 - small old rooms but clean

Very bad No humanity and there is no time management. When the patients are reaching 7-7.30.early morning staff will come @ 9 am. Doctor will come by 11 am. Today around 25 patients were sitting from morning onwards till 1.30 doctor consulted only 7 patients all other patients are waiting their time.

Now a days hospitals are advertising for getting patients. Where as ironically in Koyili hospital no body picks up the phone for token booking. They should have minimum 5 token booking counters active in the morning hours. Either management of the hospital don't have management skills or they don't want to work.

Koyili is the one of the old and most popular hospital at kannur. It is situated at just near by national highway. In my knowledge, most of the doctors at koyili hospital are well educated and/or experienced in their department. As per koyili management, it is a multi speciality facility hospital. some buildings are old and not maintained properly. Some staffs discipline and behaving found not at all like a professional or not with any hospitality. We went to consult gynaecology department. Found most of the areas are so crowded and not following any systematic way,like a multi-speciality good hospital. They will accept all type of payment modes. Very bad hospital in kannur . Staff's and nurses behaviour is not good. Never come to this hospital
