Kovalam Beach (koovllN biicc) - Tourist attraction in Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram - Thiruvananthapuram, India

This is a tourist attraction and don't expect the place to be calm. The beach is bustling with tourists in any given day. Buying things from here is relatively expensive. You can probably find the same thing for way less money elsewhere. Try to be hygiene as possible, because there are many people and many waste (sewage) as well. Otherwise it's a very good place. You get a reasonable variety of adventure sports available here. Prices can be bargained. There's a rocky patch with many cacti Good for taking photographs. Please see the images to understand what I'm saying. I've also heard that the view from the lighthouse is pretty awesome, although I've never been there. But you can give it a try. There are plenty of restaurants where you can buy different varieties of fish and get it cooked. No wonder why this is a tourist attraction.

Kovalam is family kinda beach you always find large number of visitors there. I say travel a bit more go towards Varkala you find more peaceful beaches. And kovalam is also a beach surrounded by lot of big hotels

It is a quiet place, enjoying the nature and self healing away from the hustle bustle city. Spend 3-4 days at the homestay and not in a conventional hotel to get the peace and nature experience.

This is not the main beach. Its nice though. The Leela stands tall in the shore.
