Fantastic place for Ethnic Food. The Thalis are wonderful. Small, cozy restuarant, very well maintained. The items are really tasty and the price of every item is reasonable. Far better than most ethnic restaurants in Guwahati. Another plus point is abundant parking space in the by lane. Must visit.
First tried swargadeo chicken thali and it was good...but the dal needs to be improved and also the kheer....otherwise it is nice....in the swargadeo thali which is of Rs. 350 ...three types of chicken or pork was provided along with other veggies like chicken dry fry...boiled chicken n chicken curry.... But recently I had visited again and in the swargadeo thali (price is remain same) but the dry chicken was removed from the menu which is so disappointing as I like the dry fry....may be due to the higher rate of price increasing day by day....but after all I like the food acpt the dal n kheer
I ended up here by chance but found out this is an amazing place to have your lunch. Especially for (khati okhomiya) people like me who would love to have a simple homely lunch. The prices are also reasonable and workers are kind to customers. I will definitely recommend this place.
If you want to try some good authentic Assamese food in the city, this place is a great option. You won't regret it!
Absolutely fantastic place. In a prime location of Guwahati and undoubtedly one of the best in the town. They have amazing thalis and all extremely value for money. 3 fish preparations in a thali I have never seen anywhere in Assam or for that matter in other states. This was my first visit and I am mighty impressed. Will definitely come back. If you love authentic Assamese thali at a reasonable price in a very good ambience then this is the place Staff are very courteous and eager to help
Clean and Tidy place....food was good... presentation was better...I loved the way they served the rice...on a leaf (don't know which one) a green paste chatni was served with salad (complimentary) service was also good and friendy. There were 2 Acs and a fan on...but still a bit hot. That's why this 4 star.
A small restaurant yet cozy delightful restaurant. I had heard about it several times and was finally able to visit it and was not at all disappointed. The restaurant serves different thalis, so one can choose depending on their preference. We went for pork and chicken special thalis and the number of items on each Thali was overwhelming. And I would love to say that, most of the items were delectable but I was too full by the end of the meal. So keeping in mind, next time I would rather opt for the simple thali with fewer items.
If you want to have pure traditional homely food that too in GS road , nothing can beat this place. "Swargadeo Thali" is a must if you are a pork lover. The owner is very polite and actively engaged in serving it's customers. Prices are also budget friendly considering the quality and quantity of food.
