Hello everyone, Visited the beach yesterday, less crowded even though on sundays compared to any other beach. Many shops are there to have quick bites. And for kindergarten children they have some play area which is reasonable. Thanks.

Nice place to see the fisher man coming from the sea , if we go earlier we can buy fresh fish from the fisher man . sailing of boat will look good to see from the shore .

One of the finest and less explored beaches in Chennai, probably not anymore. But, the crowd is still under control and haven't exploited the beach unlike Eliot's beach. You have the regular beach side food stalls except the live sea food stuff. Unsure if that's because of the food habits of the local community but the because is well maintained and clean. The shore road is broken and needs fixing and the govt doesn't seem to care about it since the locals maintain it better than the govt! Worth the visit.
Kottivakkam/palavakkam beach is perfectly developed wih an association but not the beach road. morning people engaged with gymnastics, walking, jogging, people plays cricket, volleyball. Feel good . Park is nearby you can visit at the same time.
Definitely not a great place for walking(litter everywhere) but you can get fresh fishes for lesser price. If your intention is to get some fresh air & brisk walking, better go to RTO beach (1-2 kms from kottivakkam beach)
