Kottapara Hilltop - Tourist attraction in Mullaringadu - Idukki, India

Accessible via two wheelers and cars. It's being promoted as an eco tourism spot by the government. There are a couple of tea & snack shops at the top. We have to park our vehicle and take a very short trek to the view point. Catch the mind blowing view from above the clouds and cloud break in the morning.

One of the best places were we can get a breathtaking cloud bed view without much hiking or hassle. It is all luck to get there on a cloudy day. Went there twice, second time it was our bad luck.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a fog-surrounded Kottapara hilltop and I must say, it was an enchanting and unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst nature's beauty, this hidden gem offers a magical setting that transports you to a different world. The moment I arrived at the hilltop, I was captivated by the ethereal mist blanketing the landscape. The fog added a mystical touch, shrouding the surroundings and creating an atmosphere of tranquility and mystery. It felt like stepping into a fairytale or a dream. Suggest all to reach there before 5.45 am then only we can experience the changes of natures beauty. Not recommended to aged people and children as there is no safety measures. So need to take atmost care.

Nice place to visit. You can see beautiful view from here. The view of fog is very beautiful. In the rainy day you can see more fog. There are 2 small tea shop near by the view point

Beautiful view point which is a short drive from Kochi. If you don't want a long and difficult trek to get to see amazing views, this is the place for you, as it's about 50-100m from the road/parking spot to the view point. DO NOT visit on a clear and cloudless day, as that would mean missing out on the bed of clouds over the landscape that makes it look amazing. It is such a shame that some humans do not respect nature and its beauty enough that they throw away their bottles and plastic cups from the nearby tea shop to spoil some of its magnificence.

One of the underrated spots. Morning mist and fog with a beautifull stunning view and a chai from that small shop. Try to walk the path behind the forest building and walk a while for a better view and experience

You need to reach the location by 5:30 a.m and you will be able to see the beautiful view, the rain on the previous day is the main play over here. Beautiful sport where we can bring your family and with kids there is not much difficulty to reach the spot.

Awesome less known location. Can be reached on local jeeps a little Off-roading.
