Kotilingeshwara Temple Small Pond - Pond in Beejadi - Udupi, India

Kotilingeshwara temple is one of the kundapura's oldest temples and the pond next to it is very huge, it almost covers 4 acres which you will not find anywhere else. This could be the spot to quench your thirst if you are visiting kundapura

It's the sacred shrine of Kotilingeshwara temple with about 5 acre size. Bathing and washing of clothes is not allowed here. Be careful if you want to swim because this big pond takes a life every year on an average! Steps are somewhat slippery. It's deep in the middle with silt. People walk around the pond in morning and evening every day. Thousands of fish and turtle live here.
